  1. Southern Utah has the 16th hardest schedule in FCS.

North Dakota has the 51th hardest schedule in FCS.

Is this right!?  S Utah has the 16th hardest schedule????  There wins include teams that are currently 5-5, 5-5, 4-6, 5-5, 2-8, 1-9 and the 0-11 d2 team.  Their losses are utah st 5-5, sdsu 8-2 and 8-2 port st.  The combined L-W record of the opposing teams are 43-58 includes d2 team and only sdsu playoff bound. Unds combined 45-55 includes fbs and montana ( potential) and ndsu as playoff bound.  Something doesn't add up

  2. UNI is tough!!!  Their offense is so so but their d creates headaches and the front 4 are as bad ass as there is the fcs!  Bad matchup for UND or for anyone for that matter.  UND has improved lately, and if given the chance to finally play in the postseason, I would prefer someone else.  But if indeed we are to play them, they need to be assignment strong the entire game and the hogs need to push like they never pushed before.   Now beat up the ponies this weekend!!!!

  3.   Nice to see und winning the turnover battle.  What a game changer they are!  The offensive fumbles or lack of, are a definite positive and the 5 ints for the d in two weeks is even better.  The talent is there in the secondary, now they are proving themselves.  Still very young but week by week....

  4. Smart phones have dumbed us down. Sat at the top of the student section last night and noticed so many students on there phones and a whole bunch of them with snapchat and there cameras open to try to capture a goal or the fans after a goal.

Exacyly what I was going to say.   They're more interested in where amy is!?   You can see the tops of heads everywhere!  Sickening, just sickening!

  5.

it would be better for seeding if EWU loses but we get in ahead of them no matter what. Just look at the resume, they would be the exact same except UND has an FBS win. UND wins they are at worst #4 in the BSC and #3 if Montana loses. IMO UND just needs to win and they will be in. See my previous post for explanation. WIN AND IN!

I'm not seeing it that way.  Yes, we do have a better resume but just like the weekly polls, the name on the jersey sways people.   Mont st was still in the top 25 poll with a losing record. Will ratelle was not recognized in the pre season,  wow!  We knew how good he was!

If  e wash wins they're in.... Guaranteed! Hell if they lose they still might be in. Same goes with montana, if they lose they could be in.  They do however have a nice resume.  Und doesn't have the name recognition like their peers do, and like it or not, the committee and people in general use that as a sway tool, period!  And no way big sky gets 5 teams in, maybe 4

Und deserves to be in if they win but when you put it in the committees hands, well......

  6. Keaton 6-1 this season, only loss to the #2 team in the nation.  This team is peeking!  The bye week was great as the team was able to heal up some wounds.

The playoffs are definitely in the discussion but a few things need to fall into place: und win, e wash lose, and mont to lose= und playoff bound.

  7. The best is if e wash loses to port st for 2 reasons.   All wins for port st looks better for und because und beat them and e wash would only have 6 wins.   No way 5 big sky teams get in!    Mont need to lose mont st to keep them to 6 wins.     Port st is a lock, the s Utah n zona winner will have 7 wins and they're in.   Makes our chances a little better if we win and reach 7 wins

  8. One week left and a mass confusion exists with the big sky

    port st 7 d1 wins/  @ e wash

    e wash 6 d1 wins/   port st

    s Utah 6 d1 wins/   n. zona

    mont 6 d1 wins/    @mont st

    n zona 6 d1wins/    @s Utah

    und 6 d1 wins/   @ cal poly

Port st needs to beat e wash.  Port st in, e wash out.  6 d1 wins and with maybe one of those is considered a  decent win for e wash.  Weak

mont st needs to beat mont.  I think?  Mont should not get in with 6 wins but they have a nice pedigree so who knows?

n zona should and needs to beat S Utah.  S Utah has a very weak schedule this yr andwas crushed by sdsu.   6 d1 wins also.

    Und beats cal poly !!

I then see port st 8 d1 wins and a seed, n zona 7 d1 wins should be in and they have gelled and are playing great ball right now and und 7 d1 wins, shouldbe one of the last teams in? With montana being a very long shot with 6 d1 wins but nice wins against ndsu, n Zona , und and e wash.

2 big sky teams for sure with maybe 3 and 4 teams potentially in the post season

  9. Attendance today was 6,996.  Biggest home game of the DI era, and nobody saw it.  Students were weak as usual.  So was the rest of the building.

Really embarrassing on the student section.  The 14 that showed, 2 could be heard.  I guess the students nowadays dislike cheering for their classmates and school!?

Used to be the students started chants, razzed the opposing teams.....now......now it's a chore.  Really sad actually.  The players feed off the students and us fans as well but the connection to the students was visible, as it should be.

Bubba has tried nearly every option to try and promote his team to the students.  guess they're just waiting for the wagon to jump on instead.

  10. Nice win und, job well done! Complete dismantling like I asked for.   Unc was outclassed on every aspect today.  Keep the momentum going and roll up cal poly to open the eyes of the commitee.

  11. I feel terrible for Olivera. He was the perfect compliment to Santiago and a much better back than Norberg.

Yes bad deal.  Going forward iwarri will have to step it up and he can, shown by his 100 yd rushing effort today.  he's a very very talented 17 yr old.

  12.

He is definitely an all-American, probably 3rd team maybe 2nd team.  What he has done for this offense is insurmountable. He vision and ability is just incredible.  For being a "smaller" guy, he had shown extreme toughness, not only in his stiff arm abilities but also in the demanding amount of carries he has endured.  Add to that, shifty, fast and a great attitude . Very fortunate to have him for 3 more years

    years

  13. Lately attendance to me is neither here nor there.  While I like having a large crowd, it seems like many of those have no interest or they're on their damn phones!!!!!  The crowd left in the 4th qtr, regardless of score, are the "true" fans and we like to amp it up when it needs to be. Not a better feeling in the sports world as to when you get under the opposing teams skin.  I would absolutely love it if there were 10000 +  that would Just bring it!!!  Man that would great!  Whatever the attendance might be,  you need to be heard Saturday!  These kids live off of that!  See you Saturday

  14. Bubba ball, especially this early in the change over of coaching philosophies as well as many other circumstances make it tough to blow out any one. They are not a quick strike offense and that's by plan.   Burn the clock!

As much as I would love to see a good ol ass kicking, I'm just as happy with wins.  Once established tho, Bubba ball will make it's mark on the big sky and we'll start to see more point spreads.  He has this going in the right direction!  Let's start with  putting the bears to sleep for the winter

  15. Argue about the injuries all you want, but UND's situation is not unique in college football, this year or any year.  Several teams have lost their starting QB, a few that come to mind are Villanova, James Madison, Montana (already mentioned).

If the playoff selection committee were to consider scenarios like the one you describe, then all FCS teams could come up with a similar scenario.  So, as siouxfan512 stated:  "you have to go by the product you have on the field", the committee bases their selection on the entire season, no matter who was or wasn't in the starting line-up for each team.

Anyways, IMHO, the selection committee will consider UND's final record, which if it is 7-4, can make a case for being in the playoffs, based on who they've played and beat.

Nova and James Madison qbs are season ending, not sure with Montana's situation.   They  couldn't make that argument.  Keaton is back.

Lets say ndsu went  0-3 without carson but knew he would be back before the playoffs, if at that point the playoffs were looking murky, you couldn't tell me the fans wouldn't be asking or saying the same thing.

Again, two games left, a lot of football to be played and perhaps come Saturday this will be a mute point.  My question has been, would und make a pitch, not saying the committee should or better take that into consideration.  So I'll agree to disagree in saying that und wouldn't at least throw that pitch towards the playoff committee if they win out.
