  1. I wouldn't be surprised if Molberg gets a shot if Bartles struggles early. If it's true about Studs, we gotta find "the guy" going forward with the rest of the season. Those two were essentially in a deadlock during fall camp for that backup job with Ryan getting it because of Joe's injury.
  2. Drew Batchelor = Ned McDodd (Mayor in Movie "Horton Hears a Who")
  3. Santiago/Olivera combine for 200+ and UND grinds out another win on the road. UND - 23 WSU- 21
  4. I think we all need to remember there are many more factors that go into determining the starters/backups than physical performance. We get to see the players out on the practice field and how they preform, and don't get me wrong, performing is the most important aspect, but we don't see everything. The coaches also have to take in to consideration how the players are in the locker room (leader or non-leader), film room, and their overall character. The coaching staff sees EVERYTHING. These guys took a 3-8 team that had holes left in it from transfers and managed to get 5 wins out of them. I have complete confidence that their evaluations are the correct ones! Also, concerning the QB situation. The coaching staff recruits players that they think are or could be better than the players they currently have. If they aren't, they aren't doing their jobs. They brought in Studsrude with the thought that he could be better than the QBs currently on their roster and obviously they are at the point where they think he is. I like the decision.
  5. The transfers name is Camereon Coffman. He had a solid year in 2012 playing for Indiana passing for over 2,700 yards and 15 TDs. In 2013 he lost the starting job which led to his transfer. He ran a spread offense at Indiana but is not a dual threat QB, as he had -1 rushing yards in 2012. He is from a football family; his dad played in the NFL for 10 years and both his brothers played their college ball at K-State. His sister played volleyball at Wyo, which is where his connection to the university came from. He's no Braedan Hanson as far as "gun-slinger" type, but is a seasoned QB that has had a year to learn Wyo's West Coast scheme.
  6. I have heard that we are talking to Cole Dahl (6'7 F) out of Newfolden, MN. According to Northstar Hoops he's recieved offers from most NSIC's and is receiving interest from multiple D1's. Could be an interesting prospect as the season goes along.
  7. How are the special teams positions shaping out? (KR, PR, P) I'm interested how Meindel will preform coming off a year in which he didn't play. He could be a big weapon.
