To be fair he also chose it over Harvard. If you choose St Cloud over Harvard....well....

ASU was recently added to the AAU. That's a big deal to the B1G. I was wondering if that might trigger the B1G to poach some more out of the PAC, namely ASU. But if ASU is going to the NCHC I'd now guess they either go to the BXII or the PAC survives the losses of USC and UCLA.
ASU and U of A are linked to Big 12 when the PAC 12 goes kaput. Larry Scott belongs in jail.

There could be talks behind the scenes to add another school to make it an even number.
Psst: This school may or may not be located in the Twin Cities metro area and has recently moved up to Division I.
When do Rico's Roughnecks project for their new arena to open?

The best part is breaking up with Omaha as a preferred opponent. The three team pods with Duluth and Cloud sounds good to me.

The Atlantic's Corey Pronman published his first-round predictions for the 2024 NHL draft. He has Boisvert at #14. Defensive recruit target EJ Emery is at #19.
If they added hockey coverage, maybe I'll finally splurge on a subscription to The Atlantic! Haha.
I saw another one that had Boisvert at 30. Curious where Swanson is projecting as well after a monster rookie USHL season.

I worked at MAYSA when he and Mason Morelli were coming up as squirts and you could tell those two were special. Morelli was pretty darn good, but Schoenborn was a step ahead of him back then. If you would have bet me which one would play in the NHL I would have said Alex. Looks like it will be Mason though.
Saw Alex play a few games his overage year for the Winterhawks. By that point everyone around him caught up. At least he didn't get jerked around and traded during his MJ tenure.

Long read, but very worthwhile!
The Bama situation is interesting, especially since they practice over an hour away in Birmingham. Only a matter of time until they get a rink in town.

Reminds me of Minot native and 3rd rounder Alex Schoenborn. Watched UND win the natty while playing for the Winterhawks.

Dakota Hurricanes or Hurrikota/Hurrikotans
Fighting Hurricanes would be a better name than Fighting Hawks. Thanks again to brainiac dum dums that paved the way for that name.

Time to come up with a pipeline nickname. "NoDak Sens" was lame. We can do better.
Something to do with North Carolina and North Dakota being so phonetically similar.

Maine and NMU have recruits picked, Denver and Harvard do not. The college hockey of my youth is returning.

Jost has played over 400 games in the NHL in the past 7 years since he left und. He’s made about $7.5 million dollars. I understand why Sioux fans think he should’ve stayed another year Perhaps he would’ve developed into a top 6 instead of a bottom 6. But I can tell you every member of his und team thought he was ready for the show and clearly he was. It’s worked out for him.
Jost was ready for NCAA before his draft year. That said, he has less than 1/3 PPG in the N, and signed a very meager contract after his entry level deal expired. Hindsight is 20/20, but he and Casey Pull Up are both cited by coaches trying to talk their blue chips into returning.

Finally Perron at 94. Steal for the Canes

Quite a few Youngstown players drafted before Strathmann.

What does Fantilli dropping to 3 in Columbus mean for his decision to return? Could OSU factor into anything?

Frozen Faceoff has a Wild v Blues game 2pm on championship night. No Wild games anytime near the Frozen Four.

You are assuming that SCSU was ever an educational institution.
Won't be hard to plant a seed of doubt in the program's future with any of their potential or committed recruits.

Let's hold on to Miami for now, St Cloud State might not be an educational institution anymore by the time the next round of realignment comes around.

Wenatchee Wild moved from BCHL to WHL. Curious if Littler is a flight risk.

TIL international students are not eligible for NIL without a waiver of sorts. Doesn't mean it's not a massive shift in the landscape, but a good amount of players in college hockey won't receive anything.

Any other schools/coaches?

There was definitely some disappointment expressed on here when we didn't get him the first time around. Let's build a Wenatchee pipeline as Washington's hockey community ramps up.
