Looks like construction has started on a new medical office park on S. Columbia Rd.

I would say moreso Duluth. Football and hockey championships for them.
-
Size is about right imo. Eagle stadium also in Dallas is a perfect fit (18,000). There's a lack of warm weather 20,000+ seat stadiums.

Kristo was the easy one to remember.

I've been watching some America in Color on the Smithsonian Channel. Crazy watching some of this stuff from what doesn't seem like that long ago now that I'm in my ripe old age of mid 30s. In the 1920s...."roads" were barely a thing because cars were still newish. The household radio was new. Forget about knowing what "watching tv" even meant. The first coast to coast telephone call had just happened a few years ago. Miami only had 30,000 people. The U of Miami had only opened a year earlier when a massive hurricane hit the town. No solo airplane had ever been able to fly nonstop across the Atlantic. Crazy to think about what the next few (100) years will bring. Even now "TV" is becoming this generations "radio" to the newly born. Self driving cars and the ability to overnight sleep while traveling in your own vehicle will be a game changer. People will start to see the country like never before. Speed limits could push 120+ mph.

Cratter's shower thoughts. The inevitable future of travel: Need to go watch a hockey game in Nashville? Load up the car about 10 pm. Wake up 8 hrs later to see the burbs of Chicago go by. Put on the 3D VR headset and watch a couple movies and suddenly when they're finished, you're in Nashville!

Fast forward one year from the date of the original post: #1 Ranked team in Mens Hockey. Football team makes the playoffs. Mens Basketball gets its first ever win over a Big Ten school. I guess the downward projection didn't last very long.
-
New coach. First ever win over P5. Well done team!
-
2 Big Sky teams in the semifinals. 1 MVFC team in the semifinals. Luckily for the MVFC they have NDSU.
-
The game is officially sold out. Cheapest you can buy a ticket for this game on Ticketmaster is $400.

Good job missing the point.

Brad said looking at Seattle or Vegas again.

gghockeys insde soures are alwys twiiter The guy that hangs out at Target Field a lot has always dreamed about a UND hockey game there....

Future destination games: Have to redo Vegas at T-Mobile arena at some point. Tampa to relive 2016 and enjoy the beaches. At this point it might be limited to NHL arenas otherwise New Orleans would be a no brainer.
-
Phoenix would be wildly successful no doubt. Perhaps that's why they'd wait to use it. Save it for when\if the destination games need a "boost in the arm."

For some reason I thought Seattle was the next one in the works also. I'd bet UND is saving playing ASU for this same reason they have yet to play Penn State. The Ralph staff is already working on the next game for 2022. Just waiting for the rumors to be confirmed.
-
They've played in New York, Winnipeg, and Omaha. The Nashville game is in mid October. Seattle would not be a flop. It's pretty much self fulfilling at this point.

I assume this game will be one of the highest attended regular season hockey games not played in a football stadium or baseball park. I'm sure Brad is on it as we speak. I also assume Michigan and Michigan state played in some sellouts at Joe Louis arena. I wonder what the highest attended UND regular season hockey game is? 13,650 attended the Omaha outdoor game.

I just ordered her cookbook from Amazon as a Christmas gift. That way I can borrow it to make Toasted Frog style cheesy fried pickles at home (I'm also a fan of Scotch Eggs). https://www.splendidtable.org/story/from-juilliard-to-rural-minnesota-molly-yehs-unlikely-culinary-path
