  1. Nothing went past me. I merely supposed that you've read more of Michele Bachman's "thoughts" in the last year than I have.
  2. Are the videos presented by Andy Ngo, et al, of events in Portland, Pittsburgh, Kenosha, etc, all elaborate fakes?

  4. @Hayduke1 I can guarantee you you've read more of Michele Bachman's "thoughts" in the last year than I have, and I dare say than of the majority of the board.
  5. I was reading an article yesterday that pointed out the language around events like this has changed. It used to be: - Infection: some is found to be carrying the malady (biologic or viral) but is not exhibiting symptoms or enough load to spread to others - case: basically an infection that has gone to the level of needing professional medical intervention Today, everything is called a case. You can have a 20 year old with the virus, showing no symptoms, and with a viral load at minimum detectable levels (non-spreader) and it's a case. That is not how the terminology was used in the past.
  6. If we can blame American bikers, we can blame Canadian film-goers. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/as-toronto-film-fest-screenings-go-mask-optional-attendees-fear-event-will-be-a-coronavirus-super-spreader
  7. One more ... 3. Show that the infection happened at the rally, not during transit to/from.
  8. "We estimate" ... OK ... 1. Who is "We"? 2. Estimate? Based on what exactly? Science please. Tracking and tracing. This is no different than some R stepping to a camera and saying "We estimate that over 250,000 of the reported cases between June 1 and July 1 are due to the Memorial Day weekend riots in major American urban centers."
  9. That’s what you’re going with? From Wikipedia: Academic response to the theory has been mixed—some applauding Strauss and Howe for their "bold and imaginative thesis" and others criticizing the theory as being overly-deterministic, unfalsifiable, and unsupported by rigorous evidence,[4][5][6][7][8]"about as scientific as astrology or a Nostradamus text."[9] Strauss–Howe generational theory has also been described by some historians and journalists as a "pseudoscience"[6][10][11] "kooky",[12] and "an elaborate historical horoscope that will never withstand scholarly scrutiny."[13][14][15] Academic criticism has focused on the lack of rigorous empirical evidence for their claims,[16] and the authors' view that generational groupings are more powerful than other social groupings such as economic class, race, sex, religion, and political parties.[17]
  10. I see the countries: West Coast; Northeast to DC; the place in the middle with food and energy. I could see the middle going from Hudson Bay to the Gulf of Mexico. West would probably include Vancouver BC.
  11. Yup. https://www.mikechurch.com/has-the-time-come-to-texit-interview-with-daniel-miller-of-tnm-the-mike-church-show/
  12. We could start by revoking the 17th Amendment.
  13. Just like Congress retires to million dollar lobbyist positions, so do generals but for as Ike put it the military industrial complex. Nothing wrong with calling it out.
  14. You mean like Ike did sixty years ago? https://www.npr.org/2011/01/17/132942244/ikes-warning-of-military-expansion-50-years-later
  15. @Hayduke1 I had to take down one of your posts because of copyright violation. Do not paste full articles; an excerpt and a link is acceptable. The Moderation Team
  16. I figured it out: television. VGK/DAL tonight (Sunday). Both played Friday this way.
  17. Why do they have VAN/VGK going back to back when PHI/NYI is going tomorrow already? Why put two games onto the Edmonton ice today when you have games tomorrow anyway?
  18. Sharyl Attkisson has called out Trump, but she also keeps this list: https://sharylattkisson.com/2020/09/50-media-mistakes-in-the-trump-era-the-definitive-list/
  19. More color-codes! Whoopie! Courtesy the UK Sun: I must ask ... Why isn't "fiery but mostly peaceful protests" on there?
  20. “The inevitable outcome of the press having a business model that rewards brain manipulation versus accuracy is what I call political warming. As the press becomes increasingly skilled at stimulating the emotion centers in our brains, one should expect the public to be in a continuous state of fight-or-flight anxiety. We’re more scared and angry than I imagine we ever have been, at least since World War II. And that means bigger storms ahead in the form of protests and divisiveness.” -- Scott Adams, Loserthink “When you combine a human brain that is wired to notice problems with a press that is incentivized to present stories involving huge problems, you can easily start imagining that the world is falling apart in a variety of fatal ways. And that worldview might limit your ability to appreciate all the things going right.”-- Scott Adams, Loserthink
  21. I just realized that NDSU doesn't use the official logo on their FB helmets. The still use snot-nose, er, snorty. I'm guessing because it's easily mirrored.
  22. Is it asking too much for the Department (capital D, as in UND Athletic Department) to set a standard across the board for all helmets? Something like: - green helmets have black/white logo on sides and UND in black letters above the wearer's nose - black helmets have green/white logo on sides and UND in white letters above the wearer's nose
  23. If I could I'd vote for Noem or Bergum over the three options now (and yes, I'm countin' Ye.)
  24. October surprise?
  25. The videos are NSFW.
