If your stomach can’t take this, CHI@TOR (Toews makes it 2-0) on NHL Network and VGK@MON is free game on NHL App.

SCSU scores on a tip with 1:30 to play. Plus an ENG 2-0 SCSU final

UMD and SCSU scoreless after 1.

Duluth and Clown in an afternooner on FSN+ right now. Someone needs to tell Clown that even though tOSU has a grey jersey it’s not a good look and should not be imitated. PS - At least tOSU has grey as a usual color.

Petrino recruiting visit?

You're 18 and you just graduated HS and want to play a "big 4" pro sport. Baseball: the extensive minor league system or the NCAA Hockey: the CHL (Canadian major junior) or the NCAA Football: the NCAA Basketball: the NCAA I get a little cranky when I think about the NFL and NBA having a "free to them" minor league system.

Caggiula with two points for CHI last night. Welcome to the All-UND 2020! EDIT: My bad. He'd played before already. I thought his concussion woes started before the season. -
"Dad" is 17-year, 1,104-game, 700-point, NHL forward Geoff Sanderson. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/hockey/4866120-Top-UND-recruit-Jake-Sanderson-has-everything-you-want

Some would agree that football alone is not the answer. Before folks jump all over that point of view, ask yourself: Would you rather your favorite university (a) win the umpteenth title in a sport, or (b) come out with the vaccine and cure for all forms of cancer? Sports are a pleasant distraction, but universities are still fundamentally about academics and the pursuit of knowledge. And ultimately, that's why a total package (academics, research, athletics, demographics) matters to fellow university presidents. You are the company you keep.

It's the GM's way to jump start a team (like when a coach changes goalies mid-game).

Which year?

Be careful what you wish for, even in jest. Don't believe me? Go say "Institutional Control" three times into a locker room mirror.

Extra attacker must be late off the bench. Where's the fourth on-ice official? I think I see orange arm bands on the two by the blue line* so we're "linesman down!" *Also wrong. The "oranges" try to stay in a goal line/blue line arrangement up and down the ice.

NDSU has another issue lurking: Complacency in the fan base. https://www.jamestownsun.com/sports/football/4812038-Bison-set-FCS-winning-streak-record-advance-to-the-quarterfinals-for-10th-straight-season Yes, those were two for-sure opening playoff round games. But people didn't come out and that's revenue not realized. When will that trickle down into for-sure regular season games? And what happens if NDSU comes back down to earth with a couple 8-3 season and (gasp) home losses? I'd take the winning in a heartbeat, but is it conditioning NDSU fans in ways that aren't realistic?

Seems Tara Houska had an interesting trip home from this adventure. https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2020/01/14/tribal-activist-says-she-was-humiliated-at-msp-when-tsa-agent-played-with-her-braids/

Hedberg went to NDSU in 2014. His primary QBs were Wentz (junior) and Stick (freshman). But I still say Hedberg should be buying the OL coaches a lot of meals; they make his QBs look good because they're protected so well.

But the NCAA also put in the "extra skater" rule recently. How long until that's not used to get a bottom nine guy a couple shifts but instead as a place holder for "Ogie Oglethorpe" in case he's needed that night.

If that's true that is both remarkable from an endurance point of view and a testament to the on-field performance of those five because they went 16-0. PS - What have I been harping about UND for years? Fix the offensive line first.
