AZSIOUX Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 This is laughable. In fact, as a counter, without altitude on their side there is now way that Denver would have beat the Sioux 1-0 in the Regional Championship game we would all like to forget. Some of you will recall the effects that the altitude in C Springs had on some of the key players like Bochenski. man that 11 hour drive home to phoenix sucked so bad...........we outshot them like 45 to 20 or somehtkng like that, peppered that goalie and i knew one bad bounce either way would end it and they got a nice defelection passed jpar. damn the springs.............. ScottM Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Sorry, but beating Michigan and Minnesota (in OT) last spring, after barely making it into the regionals, probably doesn't qualify as a "break", except with bandwagoneering hockey "fans" in Denver who remember CC and DU both actually have teams. I guess the Rocky Mountain News would consider that a break too. Quote
Goon Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Well, the only thing that I agree with there is that the Sioux will need to go through CC in the West to get to the Frozen Four. It will be the NCAA's way of looking to pimp us. That's why we already have our tickets to the West. Big return to The World to avenge the travesty that occurred there in in 2004. I don't necessarily agree with the argument that UND is going to be sent west. Especially if they put a string of impressive wins together and the fact that Miami has played a weak schedule. I think there is a chance that UND could go out east or to the Midwest, by Tourney time, especially if the Badgers and Gophers don't make the NCAA tourney and that is a big possibility. I wouldn't put my money against UND in any regional. There is too much between now and Tourney time that hasn't been decided as of yet. In fact being written off by the so called pundants or basically told they probably won't win is probably enough reason to put them over the top. Quote

I would be willing to bet this guy is going to get flooded with emails from Sioux fans, I am predicting this won't go unnoticed. Anyone else going to write the guy? Quote
