AZSIOUX
saw this on brads site http://www.areavoices.com/undhockey/ A pair of Sioux recruits will represent Team USA at the 2007 World Junior A Challenge, which will be held from Nov. 5-11 in Trail and Nelson, B.C. They are forward Mike Cichy and defenseman Ben Blood, who both play in the USHL.

That was the Hll Murray/Omaha/Gophers/I don't want to play any more Nick Larson. This Nick Larson is the Apple Valley/STA/Waterloo/CSS A player to watch Nick Larson. I just hope people don't expect him to live up to the stardom of his brother. I think David will pave his own way. His stock seems to be on the rise and is obviously off to a great start this year at Shattuck.

siouxnami
Good to see him starting really strong. I agree, I can't wait to see him in a Sioux uni next year. It looks like Jordan Murray likes to take some penalties! Remember that he is coming in a year older that Jonathon, and Jonathon didn't exactly have a great freshmen season until the last 15 games or so. I expect DT to come in and be a top 2 line player from the start. I think we will be lucky to have him for 3 years. I also expect him to go in the top 15 in the draft. AZSIOUX
danny kristo with 1 assist in only goal in 3-1 loss to gophers yesterday. interesting note in game - future gopher lofquist who scored the usa goal took okposo out with a 5 minute kneeing penlaty Bruneteau Article
spfreak
I was at the Shattuck game in Crookston last night. Toews was definitely the best player on the ice. Etem showed flashes although he was playing against men that were somewhere between 6 and 8 years older than he is, so he definitely was at a disadvantage as far as strength goes. Carle and Kostolansky stuck out on D. Nice skating ability. Overall Shattuck looked excellent.
Vegas1
I am excited to see Gregoire next year. i think he is going to have a great year for Lincoln this year and be ready to be an immediate contributor next year. Agreed. Him and Toews are going to bring some sick talent. Next kid to get an early track on is St. Croix playing for the AAA Bantam 1 Monarchs out of Winnipeg. This is kid could be the next Jonathan Toews.

Maybe not Travis Zajac good but I think he will be a really good center for the Sioux.

Kristo has wheels and is very good with the puck - he didn't mind the physical play either. He was definitely the most exciting forward on the ice for USA (sorry Jordan Schroeder). I was surprised how small the U18 was - Jimmy Hayes was the only player who could come close to look Wheeler/Okposo eye-to eye. Even the D looked small. Their goalie Joe Cannata was great - I'm surprised he's not going to a big time school - he's going to Merrimack next year.

Just Curious
The WCHA blog has some video of the US NTDP team playing SCSU last weekend. Kristo is featured in one of the videos, as previously stated in this forum,.... that kid has some wheels, plays all out and aggressive. Just a short clip, but I liked what I saw. http://wchablog.blogspot.com/

spfreak
The thing is they don't play an easy schedule. I will say that some of the games are cakewalks, however, they do play college teams, all star teams, international teams and many other tough opponents. They dominated Crookston for all of Saturday's game. It was a slaughter. They are just a really good team. Toews is definitely the best player on the team, even without looking at the stats.
