ndhockeyfan
I love watchin hockey on sundays, specially when its not the sioux! Probaby a dumb question, but will any of the remaining games (MN or STC) be on FSN or another channel in the GF area tonight?
UNDLAW
if what I read is correct, Grand Rapids is over 350 miles meaning that would have to fly there and once you are in the air it doesn't matter where you go. Someone correct me if I am wrong but that is what I read on uscho.com and no I don't know why they would have to fly. Under the NCAA guidelines, once you get a on a plane (and, yes, "can" be paid for by the NCAA) a flight is a flight and they will send you 2000 miles away instead of 350 miles away on that plane if they justify it under the general notions of assuring "competitiveness" and "attendance" and... well it always boils down to $$$ but you get the picture. HEXTALL
because the NCAA will pay for it. No because the money they make off the Final Five tourney that means nothing any more is what they will use to pay for the flights.......
Tsiouxnami
Goofs will be on for sure...channel 28 Does that also mean they will be on DirecTv?
Siouxdonyms
Does that also mean they will be on DirecTv? Schedule on FSN doesn't show the Goofs playing yet, but they most likely will change that. Right now, they've got a bloopers show scheduled, so I'm thinking they scheduled that in case it did go 3 games.
Smoggy
No because the money they make off the Final Five tourney that means nothing any more is what they will use to pay for the flights....... I don't really understand what you posted. The Final Five is money for the WCHA. The NCAA has nothing to do with it. The NCAA pays each team based on how they would need to travel to a game for the regionals. So much money for a flight or for a bus ride. For example, when going to the Frozen Four the NCAA gives the team the money to buy a ticket for each member of the team. In North Dakota's case, they take that money and apply it toward chartering a flight which obviously costs more than the NCAA gives. So the NCAA likes bus ride sites for fan support and saves them money on travel costs. Hence, once a team has to fly the NCAA doesn't care as much about where they fly to. Siouxdonyms
Robert Morris up, 4-2 on Alabama-Huntsville, midway through 2nd period. EDIT: Make that 4-3 now, as A-H has scored 3 goals in the 2nd period. This team just won't go away.
