HockeyMom
It's not all publicly funded construction at UND, either: [sarcasm] Can you honestly prove that UND isn't giving secret funds to build this stuff that they aren't telling the taxpayers about. [/sarcasm]

HockeyMom
retail developments 15. Papa Murphy's: A good place for pizza on the south end. That's what I'm getting for supper tonight.
Local Boy
I'd like to see more developments that will positively effect population growth. I'm not a big "Build It and They Will Come" guy. Good news though!
The Sicatoka
23. Texas Roadhouse: If you've wondered why it looks like a building was taken out of the old west and placed on 32nd Avenue, it happens to be a slice of Texas coming to Grand Forks. The Roadhouse defines itself as a place
The Sicatoka
I'd like to see more developments that will positively effect population growth. I'm not a big "Build It and They Will Come" guy. Good news though! There are two reasons to be in a city: - things to do (shopping, entertainment) - suitable work This is taking care of the first. What's new on the second front? Diggler
There are two reasons to be in a city: - things to do (shopping, entertainment) - suitable work This is taking care of the first. What's new on the second front? Nothing. Why else would I be in the land of smelly hairy cows?

SoonersNSioux
Places I wish we had... -Olive Garden or Johnny Carinos (Italian only restaurant) -A *real* Mexican restaurant where sauce on burritos is not called gravy. I'd rate the local places around a 3/10. Paradiso is always jam packed, but it can't hold a jock strap to 75% of the places I've been to in Oklahoma. This is to be expected though considering our distance from Mexico, so no hard feelings. -A Thai or Indian restaurant . (VARIETY) -A 21st century movie theatre with stadium seating and all the bells and whistles.
Let'sGoHawks!
There are two reasons to be in a city: - things to do (shopping, entertainment) - suitable work This is taking care of the first. What's new on the second front? Absolutely. Suitable means not the jobs created by these restaurants/retail. We need jobs for young professionals that pay 40K and higher.
