If you look in the media guide for this year, the pronunciation given is JEN o way for Genoway. Hope that helps. It gives it for the rest of the team too.

I'm told that Chay and Colby actually prounounce their last name with the hard G, although some of their relatives prounounce as a J. They leave it with the J sound because that's how most people say it.

When Colby was playing for the Sioux I remember reading from what I considered a credible source (can't remember it now) that it was pronounced with a hard G. Then we only ever heard it with a soft G. Interesting.

The correct pronounciantion of Genoway is as Hakstol said it with the hard G. But neither Colby nor Chay Genoway has a problem with people pronouncing the G as a J. So take your pick.
