JESUS,family, rutgers
Other than Grand Forks, what area of the state has the deepest interest in Fighting Sioux sports? GO NORTH DAKOTA! GO RUTGERS!
ScottM
Other than Grand Forks, what area of the state has the deepest interest in Fighting Sioux sports? GO NORTH DAKOTA! GO RUTGERS! I would guess, based on their overall populations, Fargo and Bismarck probably have the strongest UND alumni bases in the state.

farce poobah
Having lived in a bunch of small towns, I definitely say the Sioux support is in the bigger towns (and the AC support is more rural).

Sodbuster
I live in a town of about 2,000 midway between Fargo and GF, and from what I have observed over the last few years, I'd say it's about 80/20 in favor of the Sioux (as opposed to NDSU). We have gatherings to watch Sioux FB and hockey on TV at a local establishment, and they,re very well atended. Of course, the Bison are hardly on TV for any sport, so it's maybe not a fair comparison. (this post is in responce to the AC reference) I would say in my small town, there is STRONG Sioux support.
