I say UND Fighting Sue - our mascot could be a big fat lady with a drag hanging out of her mouth and a can of bud in her hand. Her shoulder would have a nice Sioux tattoo on it.

Being a traditionalist, I'd prefer to see the athletic uniforms mirror the original cavalry uniforms as closely as possible. The scabbard design is too cutesy for my taste.

Yes, straight yellow stripe. While we're at it, let's get rid of the diagonal lines on the Sioux hockey sweaters.

Yes, straight yellow stripe.

I also envision a black helmet with Vegas Gold piping (to emulate the black Stetson hats) and crossed cavalry sabre logos on the helmet sides. I think it would be a very cool look.

Hockey and football both?

PS - I'll live with the straight stripe if you sell it to me as "true to tradition".

PPS - Would we need to start refering to UND Aerospace as "The Air Cavalry"? ???

PPPS - The "Vegas" Gold is a nice touch also.

Very nice! Simple logos on helmets are the best. The crossed sabres would be excellent.

I'm thinking that one set of crossed sabres on the front of the hockey helmets would look cool.

Would I lie to you?

I don't see how we could avoid it. ???

The stripe on the pant leg needs to be modified so it looks like a scabbard along the leg.

Let's hope we never lose or nickname.

But I would love to stick it to the NCAA and IMHO, "The Cavalry" would be fitting. If Navy can be the Midshipmen... I see nothing wrong with honoring our American Soldiers!!!! ???
