farce poobah
I thought it was that Don Lucia decided that SCSU was our natural rival and we are stuck with playing them 4 times every year. God I just hope the games are little more exciting next year, because it was brutally painful having to stomach two gutwrenchingly boring games against SCSU last season. If it wasn't for Bobby G. Sioux would have run SCSU out of the building and down the interstate. OK, I was kidding about the auction thing. Lucia came up with the idea of pairing rivals, but I think the rest of it was a league thing ... the games in GF were boring, partly because we were so ineffective and played disinterested. But the Sioux got revenge with some brilliant goals at the Final Five.

Sioux_Hab-it
Yeah, like the Yankees in MLB the Gophers have the highest payroll in the NCAA. Oh wait... And all the same baggage and controversy too.
ATLSiouxPhan
Anyone know the Gopher record against Holy Cross at the Ralph? Sorry, couldn't resist MN/HC 0-
ATLSiouxPhan
Hey while we are talking about the Gophers anybody know why we are not hosting them for a regular season series at the Ralph in Grand Forks? That is according to the preliminary schedule I found. Too many teams in the conference. Not enough weekend series. We'll get them back at Ralph next year.
