siouxguyinstpaul
Are you joking? The last two Final Five Title games did not involve the Gophers and the arena was packed for both of those games. How about 16,000 people attending the UMD, St. Cloud play in game this year? That doesn't qualify as Gopher fans attending non Gopher games? In 2000, the regional was at Mariucci and the gophers were not there and the attendance was over 8,000 people, about the same crowd as UND had at the Ralph(8,300) on Friday against Mankato two weeks ago. Nice try though. Minnesota hockey fans are as true as they come. Nice try yourself. There may have been 16,000 tickets sold to that game - there were not even close to 16,000 folks in the stands and the last two championships were definately NOT packed. Why are you here anyway? You should stay where folks may believe your posts - even though they know it may not be accurate.
siouxguyinstpaul
Unlike Gopher fans, who only go to games the Gophers play, true hockey fans would still have packed the Ralph. Gopher fans don't even go to their own consolation games.

This year's Final Five broke records for every game because it was the first Final Five in recent memory that didn't include Denver or CC. No disrespect to those teams, but the few extra thousand people in attendance compliments of St Cloud, UMD, Wisconsin, and UND would out-total any combination that left out two of those four schools and replaced them with Denver and Colorado College. Goon
much like their team. But remember these games didn't matter, that they were already in the tourney and didn't need to expell any engergy in the Saturday game. So losing to UofW didnt' matter because the game didn't matter, and losing to UND the year before didn't matter. I am detecting flawed logic. Funny. And if they lose this weekend, it still won't matter, because in their minds, they're still #1.
