siouxguyinstpaul Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 "But the Gophers' climb into a tie with the Badgers for first place in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association Quote
Slap Shot Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Yup - this one really hurts. Thankfully the Gophers have a bye followed by a weekend up at MTU. Not saying they should expect to coast at MTU, but if I had to pick a road series for Irmen to be out... Quote
dagies Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I don't recall hearing that Denver lost anybody during their bucky series, but it's suddenly not good to be WI or to play them. I would guess Elliot and Irmen are probably about just as important to their respective teams. My impression this year is that Irmen is the spark that lights the gopher fire. Quote
sagard Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 ... My impression this year is that Irmen is the spark that lights the gopher fire... That opinion is widely held. Guyer looked hurt in the 3rd period as well, but apparently not bad enough to warrant a mention. Quote
bertibm Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 2-3 weeks. Could be less. Good thing we have a week off and then MTU Quote
siouxguyinstpaul Posted January 30, 2006 Author Posted January 30, 2006 Chucko got hurt too - seperated shoulder as well - less severe than Irman's though. Quote
redwing77 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 This isn't the time for the Gophers to get injury problems. But hey, even with Guyer and Chucko out (hypothetically), and Irman not playing 100%, you'd still play better than the Badgers. Sheesh. Lose a goaltender, lose the ability to win. Talk about a sheep in wolf clothing. Quote
DAR Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 2-3 weeks. Could be less. Good thing we have a week off and then MTU Darn.....I was hoping for the worst Quote
LeftyZL Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 2-3 weeks. Could be less. Good thing we have a week off and then MTU I just was reading the Heraldo newspaper and it said that Irmen will miss between 2-6 weeks...Best case scenario is that he plays against Denver on the 17th-18th, according to him. Seems like he hurt it more than was first reported. Quote
hockey1 Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Darn.....I was hoping for the worst I hope your comment was tounge and cheek but if it wasn't way to show your class. Quote
