UND made some hard (and some unpopular) choices during both rounds of budget cuts in the last decade and in the process, right-sized a lot of things to prepare for future growth. NDSU opted to kick the can down the road and not do a whole lot of adapting. Enrollment trends seem to indicate UND made the correct moves. Quote
