SiouxMD Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Two days till gameday...predictions? A top-ranked defense (UND) versus a top-ranked offense (USD)... National Rankings Rushing Defense - UND (#1) Total Defense - UND (#5) Passing Offense - USD (#11) Total Offense - USD (#1) Something has to give...but defense wins the day. Digger and company will need to pressure the QB hard...and make some turnovers. UND 27 USD 24 Quote
redwing77 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 You know, I actually think this is going to come down to which team can crack the other's defense first without making many mistakes. This means it will be a game of who can get the most first downs and the least turnovers. Belmore will be the key this week for UND barring a total defensive meltdown. Our defense will put us in position to win this game. Whether or not we win depends on our offense and Belmore. Quote
siouxfb Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Are you kidding with that score? Playing on the road, in a hostile environment, with a conference championship on the line!!! I know the team enjoys playing road games and the boys will be ready to play...As a player what more could you ask for? UND 45 USD 17 Quote
wenz51 Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 UND 29 USD 17 Sioux take the conference and end up with no. 2 seed in the region. Quote

I don't care if we win by 2 in OT...JUST WIN!!! Quote
jimdahl Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 UND is going to pass up and down the field with large receiver sets, just like Duluth showed us we could. Bring on the scoring (but higher risk of TO's?) Special teams, baby. Contrary to popular wisdom, I don't think USD is going to be trying to get in a shootout, rather I think they'll want to slow the game down. Nonetheless, a poised UND offense will drive to quite a few scores but will also have a few missteps, leading to high scoring for both teams. UND prevails in the end 37-27. Meanwhile, GVSU's loss to Tech puts us in 1st place in the region and at home throughout the playoffs OK, now I'm just getting silly. Quote
Sioux-cia Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 It's gonna come down to Jeff Glas breaking the NCAA DII field goal's record for a win. Quote
