UND 29 USD 17 Sioux take the conference and end up with no. 2 seed in the region.

Last week was by far his worst performance to date, but he is still our number 1. Now if he comes out this coming week and performs like the second half of last I think Reed will defintely be put in. This week is big because it's going to be a statement of whether not Belmore can put last week behind him and come through this week in a big game that has implications on how the playoffs will go. I am looking forward to see how he does and how well the Sioux come out after a very disappointing loss.

Not only did we get screwed on this deal with Omaha going ahead of us, but somehow Saginaw dropped and Winona too. Actually with Winona drops out of the playoffs because the earned access is only for teams within the top 10 in the region. However I think that after this week they will move up the one spot needed to get the earrned access. Overall the region rankings right now are very odd. I could see us dropping, but for Omaha to leap over us and Saginaw is ridiculous. The only thing that hurts us is losing late in the season. Voters look at that as a sign of weekness and will definitely hold that against us. But hey after we go down and kick USD we will have the number 2 seed and grab a bye and homefield for at least a game. GO SIOUX!!

With the conference championship on the line this week as well as a perfect season the Sioux I see this game kind of like the UMD game. I hope the Sioux can come out with their emotions in check and just go out and take care of business. As far as the 2001 annotation, I was apart of that and I truly think that the loss (a close one) helped us out in winning the national championship. This years team seems to be more balanced and has the experience from previous years to go undefeated as long as we can keep our emotions in check. SIOUX 33 UNO 13 GO SIOUX!!!

The Mankato trip is one that we normally come out a bit sluggish. MSUM has some talent but not enough. So with that said UND will win 37-6 . GO SIOUX!!!

The Sioux have a bunch of good games coming up. This weekend they face a UMD team that is soon to be a continually good team in the NCC. Bubba will have them ready to play. Then Mankato is not a great team but yet they have in the past given us good games down in Mankato. UNO is a team that we seem to have problems with. It's a good thing we have them here at the Al. I am curious to see if the injuries have really hurt them or are they just having a down year. And then what I think will be the game that decides who is number 1 in the region going into the playoffs and who wins the NCC. USD has proven that there offense can put up points, and up until last week their defense didn't have to worry about much. I don't know whether or not they have the complete team we do, but they have a talented team and could give us our best game of the year. Sioux end up winning it all going undefeated for the first time. What a year. Sioux national champs once again.

Congratulations to Coach Lennon and the University of North Dakota, I am a huge fan and supporter of all Sioux athletics. Lennon is a great person and even better coach. I have never seen the man in a situation that he can't handle. I think he is happy here at his alma mater improving on a tradition that will with no doubt get stronger as he continues his career here at UND. GO SIOUX!!!

The game this week is definitely going to be the toughest contest to this point. SCSU is a team that has a bunch of talent, and has former UND coaches on its staff, so they know what to expect. I think this game will test UND's defense and how it can handle a truly balanced attack. The combonation of that huge line Matt Birkel and a good core of talent throwing the ball is something I don't think we have really seen yet this year. I do think however our defense has not yet been truly tested and this is the week for them to do it. They will and our offense is rolling Dressler didn't have to many offensive stats, but he was pulling coverage away from eveyone else. As long as the offense doesn't give up the big play they should out perform SCSU. I expect to see a better game than the past 5, and look forward to seeing the SIOUX on top. UND 31 SCSU 20

Augustana is another ball control offense that can strike at any time. The short pass offense with a decent defense is what has given us trouble year in and year out. I expect another good game out of these guys. I think it will come down to special teams where we hold the edge. Dressler and Glas win this one for us, SIOUX 23 AUGUSTANA 10.
