Amtrak -> Winnipeg

Grand Forks needs to push for this and continued improvements to Amtrak service, IMO, along with a coordinated shuttle to the airport from the train station.  Otherwise, I worry Grand Forks is going to eventually lose it's Amtrak route to a potentially faster southern route through Bismarck.  A daily train to/from fargo could potentially make some sense as well, especially if coordinated with athletics events and concerts given how bad the roads are in the winter - could work almost like a park and ride.  Just some thoughts.

leave gf at 8am for winnipeg....have a day trip....back by 8 or 9pm..

I think it would be huge for the Airport if people could come from Winnipeg without having to wory about car travel, especially during winter.

I wouldn't mind the same thing in reverse.  I've flown out of Winnipeg a few times.
