ScottM
again, this time courtesy of AP, and Prof. Scott Lowe, naturally. Donor Article
PCM
Same old story. Ralph Engelstad is portrayed as the only person in the world who favored keeping the Sioux name while Native Americans are portrayed as being unanimously against it. The media never lets the facts get in the way of a good story.
SDSUFAN
Since the administrator chose to delete my prior message, I will try again. The article states facts as they have been reported over a period of time. Ralph's memory is not being dragged through the mud. Maybe UND should take a lesson from Augsburg College, those Free Lutherans surprised me that time. Keep Ralphs money and dump his name and the logo. Why Not. Honoring the Natives, What a laugh. The Sicatoka
Dump the name and logo and disrespect the wishes of 81% of the American Indian population in the process. (I won't quote the source. I've done it enough times.)
ScottM
You'll have to excuse SDSUFAN, Sicatoka. He promised to leave this board a while ago and has yet to do so. Accordingly, his credibility on any issue is dubious at best.
PCM
The typical media spin is to selectively quote facts and quote only one source with an obvious bias on the issue. Apparently that meets some people's "fair and balanced" test.

JBB
The mirror can be an ugly thing and even the uendders cant break them all. It keeps reflecting the same stained image.
