cberkas Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago Not sure how Miami got a penalty on the draw. Didn't play with his glove, so not sure what it was. NCHC needs to film study with the refs because this is getting ridiculous one some of these calls St. Cloud gifted a 5x3 Quote
Godsmack Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I don’t know if any of you turned on the CC/Duluth game last night but with fifteen minutes to play in a 2-2 game, the officials called what I would consider a questionable, soft interference penalty on CC. Mayotte lost his temper and got himself an unsportsmanlike bench minor leading to a five on three power play for the Dogs. They’d score what turned out to be the game winner. I don’t consider myself to be one of those fans who blame the refs for every loss but man, that was a tough call IMO. The Duluth player skated straight forward into the CC defenseman. What is the CC player to do, turn and step aside and give the Duluth forward a clear lane to the net? Had the Duluth player changed direction and the defenseman did the same in response, I could see that being an interference call but that’s not what happened. Anyway, end of rant just was frustrated with how the game was called last night. Quote
Godsmack Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago In other CC news, not sure if any of you had heard but last Saturday night at the CC/DU game, right before they were about to line up for the national anthem, the players were all skating around in their respective ends when Klavs Veinbergs lost an edge at the blue line and went crashing into RoCCi the CC mascot who was standing at center ice, waving this big CC flag. He knocked RoCCi over so hard, their head flew off and the poor girl fell and hit her head on the ice. She had to be helped off the ice by the officials. She’s ok though but had to have several stitches in her head. Quote

Godsmack Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Is there any real formal accountability for the officials? I know every fan of their respective sport thinks that their league’s officials are the absolute worst in all of college sports-my best buddy is a Texas Tech alum and says the Big Twelve officials in football are the absolute worst-but I hope that coaches have the ability to submit what they feel are questionable calls/non-calls to the director of officials following a series for additional review and potential training opportunities. Godsmack Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Frank Serratore said it best following an Air Force game up at Denver and falling victim to some home cookin’ and poor officiating… “There’s three things I’ve never seen in my life. I’ve never seen Big Foot, I’ve never seen the Easter Bunny, and I’ve never seen a referee say he had a crap game.” 1 Quote
cberkas Posted 8 hours ago Author Posted 8 hours ago ASU, you have a top journalism school, it shouldn't be hard to not have the background music and announcements come through the broadcast during the intermission. Quote
