Trouble with new registration

Do any of the administrators have some advice? I have a friend who is trying to register as a new user. When they get the prompt to check their email as part of the registration process, they never receive the email. They have checked their spam folder and have tried the process a few times. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Maybe switch browsers just to rule out that as a cause?

I had this same issue when I signed up. I had to use a different email.

My gmail email would not work. Would never receive the email at all. Tried different browsers, on my phone, laptop, private browser. Nothing worked.
