sprig Posted June 19, 2002 Posted June 19, 2002 http://www.fightingsioux.com/sports/hockey/ Making the team will mean missing the Christmas tourney (no big deal) and the home series vs. CC (would guess CC will have a player or two trying out also). Quote
dagies Posted June 19, 2002 Posted June 19, 2002 It seems like guys come back from that tourney tired, but having improved their game. While it always sucks to have guys miss games on the schedule, the opportunity for the player and the downstream benefit to the team, as well as prestige for the program seem well worth it. Hope they both make it. Quote
sprig Posted June 19, 2002 Author Posted June 19, 2002 Would be great if both make it. With the rather easy schedule during the regular season, would have been nice to draw a weaker opponent than CC the first weekend in January. Course CC hasn't broken through the Engelstad home advantage yet, as most other teams did last season. Article didn't list others invited, but would guess some CC frosh/young sophs will be there also. Highly likely frosh recruit Stuart will be there. Quote
Goon Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 Others invited to the U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp are Matt Gens from SCCC, Travis Weber, Judd Stevens, Gino Guyer and Barry Tallackson from Minnesota . Quote
