darell1976
I found this interesting... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunderstruck_(song) In the 1990s, song was played at the beginning of sporting events for the University of North Dakota during the introduction of their mascot, Thunder the Bleacher Creature. It was also the inspiration for the character which, at the time, replaced the traditional Sioux mascot Thunder is introduced in 1990. Could UND actually had this song as an intro before the Mighty Bison??? Of course looking at google and BVille I haven't found when they started using it...maybe after Thunder was retired. dakotadan
Just remember that NDSU suffered a Freudian slip (showing who they wish they really were) when they named their mascot ... ThUNDar ... And their big push to become ndSU. It just shows that they always wanted to be the ND Sioux.
