Yes Chapman ignored protocol and rules . . . and by comparison, Kuppy was not qualified to carry his jock. That is how bad Kuppy was. Do you really want to compare Chapman at NDSU vs. Kuppy and UND? I don't think you really want to go there.

Let's follow the news on audit reports for a coupla months and we'll get back to you.

All Bisonville cares/cared about is growth. Growth = success. Growth = NDSU wins. The bigger and faster NDSU grows = the bigger and better NDSU is and therefore the better NDSU leadership must have been.

Anyone who dares to slow down or refine the growth = a piss-poor leader who need to be fired immediately.

Agreed. It's amazing how little understanding there is over there regarding the governance relationship between higher ed institutions in ND and the SBoHE.

Hanson was not qualified to run the school, the worries were legit because he was put in place by the SBoHE and they seemed to push him towards applying.

I think if you have somebody from the outside or with more experience saying those things NDSU supporters won't be so quick to jump on that person. It didn't help Hanson that he never really sold a vision of what he wants to do with NDSU, a major responsibility of a University President is PR and he struggled in that area from day one.

This is known as the "Enron" strategy. Inflated numbers = success!

The reason Bisonville did not approve of him was because it was not his goal to expand NDSU as big and as fast as possible. Nor was he our in the ND higher ed court "throwing elbows", if you will, as Chapman had, in order to achieve that growth.

That put him in their dog house.

Luckily for NDSU, the selection committee doesn't even know what Bisonville is and the opinions on that board have zero sway with the committee. I'm hopeful they'll select someone closer to Hanson than Chapman, when it comes to growth.

Well planned and controlled growth is very good. Chapman's plan for rapid growth was not for the benefit of ND or NDSU, but for his own agend and own ego and his aspirations to move on to a bigger University. It was strictly personal. On the subject of rapid unplanned or uncontrolled growth, Enron is just one example, others are the housing industry and mortgage industry. Look what condition they are in today. NDSU and UND should both plan to grow as the state and region can support both financially and population wise. I do not see masses of people moving into the area. Sure the oil boom has brought in some folks and Fargo has grown in population over the last 30 years, but unreasonable growth is not good for any kind of enterprise.
