The Sicatoka
Last week is over. You play them one by one. Mankato is 0 and 7 so you might want to over look them. Don't. They beat us last year. It's time to return the favor.
CoteauRinkRat
They beat us last year in one of the worst games played by the Sioux in a very long time. It was an embarassing performance so the Sioux should have a little bit more motivation playing these guys than they normally would.
PCM
Lennon said on his show Sunday night that even while the Nickel Trophy was being hoisted in the locker room, the players were talking about Mankato. He thought the outcome of last season's game would provide the necessary motivation to play well.
UND92,96
Mankato looks to be coming into this game pretty banged-up. According to their press release, at least 10 players--including the starting quarterback--are out this week. There will likely be a lot of freshmen playing for the Mavericks. This may be a good opportunity for the Sioux to get the running game going a little bit. Not that I'm advocating abandoning the pass, which is clearly the Sioux's bread and butter offensively, but Mankato is giving up 190 yards a game on the ground. I would think Roland and Strouth should be able to find some running lanes. I'm hoping that the revenge factor from last year's inexplicable loss at home will overcome any post-NDSU letdown this week.
CoteauRinkRat
This game will be a muck and grind type game. It will be ugly, but hopefully a better outcome for the Sioux this year.

redwing77
10 players? My hope is that the Sioux take it easy on them if it turns into a lopsided contest. That's just sad. 10 injured players. Can you imagine what kind of stress their coach is under? Can't win and can't keep the players healthy. No wins doesn't help a recruiting trip either. I think UND will win, but let's hope it's not too lopsided.

schmidtdoggydog
Mankato had a fairly good recruiting class. That remains to be seen. Paper means little, performance means everything. Hopefully, UND runs over them and maintains momentum heading into the final two weeks.
