PHE
My bet is that he is talking about LaPoint. That makes sense. My bad, Chuck.
Chuck Schwartz
No problem PHE. I'm not saying LaPoint is all world or anything here, but he is a powerplay specialist. He does other things well, but he's one of the best players running a PP that I've seen. 34 points on the PP in 1 season? Thats absolutely sick especially in the USHL. Jones is a very, very solid defenseman, but he's not an offensive threat, why is he on the power play? Not having Kozek out there on the PP is like not having Brett Hull on the ice with that shot, even right now when Hull is like 50 years old. I don't think LaPoint is quite ready for the PP yet. He's still too tentative with the puck, which could lead to some odd man SH rushes going the other way. I think once he gains some more confidence with the puck later this season, then maybe pop him on the 2nd pp unit to see how he does. I think both him and Marto will be great dmen in the jr/sr years...

Now there is really no excuse for him not to be out there, especially when Finley isn't playing.
