mksioux Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Maybe SE LA is better than the preseason pronosticators thought. Preseason picks are not always accurate. And while the top of DII can compete with FCS teams on any given day, doing it week in and week out is much more difficult. The big difference is overall depth and speed. And it will take us a couple of years to build that up. I am willing to take my lumps for a couple of years to build the program the right way. I don't want a bunch of JUCOs on this team. I basically agree with you, it's just not been the prevailing sentiment around here the past few years. I agree with you on the JUCO thing as well. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted September 28, 2008 Author Posted September 28, 2008 Fumble on 3rd and long. Recovered by UND. Fourth down coming up. Quote
SiouxMD Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Murray fumbles...UND recovers. UND to punt. Quote

I agree with you on the JUCO thing as well. You are correct, there have been some inflated expectations on this and other discussion forums since NDSU moved up and started having success right away. Our fans caught the fever from our friends to the south and we started dreaming a little too big too soon. But that's why we are fans, after all. Quote
siouxjoy Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Here we go D. All it takes is one strip or one interception... Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted September 28, 2008 Author Posted September 28, 2008 3rd and 7 for the Lions. Quote
dakotadan Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Way to hold D. Now we need to put some more points on the board. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted September 28, 2008 Author Posted September 28, 2008 Watkins nearly intercepts at the 47. Another punt forced by the defense. Quote
SiouxMD Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 It's 3rd and seven...and they HOLD! Watkins with the near interception... Ok...Freund. Let's roll. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted September 28, 2008 Author Posted September 28, 2008 Sioux start on own 40. Time to air it out! Quote
bincitysioux Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 I've only been able to listen intermittently. Is our defense getting any pressure on the QB? Sounds like the rush defense is playing well again, but the secondary continues to give up big plays. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted September 28, 2008 Author Posted September 28, 2008 More technical glitches. Quote
siouxjoy Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 It sounds like Murray got popped. Yikes. Solum with the carry. And the reception is gone. Quote
SiouxMD Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Solum with the carry...Murray must have felt that last hit. Quote

But we can't seem to cover anybody downfield. Quote
SiouxMD Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 3rd and five...Freund to Grover to the SELA 48 and the UND FIRST DOWN. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted September 28, 2008 Author Posted September 28, 2008 Big 1st down for the offense! And followed up with an 8 yard gain. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted September 28, 2008 Author Posted September 28, 2008 Alex Nicholas to the 35 yard line. Late hit on SE LA coming up....tack another 15 yards onto that. Sioux will have it 1st and 10 on the SE LA 20. Quote
SiouxMD Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 UND first down...late hit on SELA. LETS GO SIOUX!!! Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted September 28, 2008 Author Posted September 28, 2008 Josh Murray reception to the 11 yard line, 9 yard gain. We are spreading them out. Quote
