31-9
UNDintheNHL -- we are going to need to get that post game interview they just did with Zajac posted on here. What a thrill that was to listen to him and what an amazing story for a former Sioux! While you're at you might as well post the bush league hit on Parise by Coburn . . . I don't know if Zach saw his life flash before his eyes but I had the wind knocked out of me and I was watching it on TV; he could've been seriously hurt. On a brighter note, I love watching Zajac interviews just to see how big the red mark on his forehead will be from his helmet; I use it as a measure of how hard he played that night. His pass for the GWG was tremendous, the kid is 110% effort and 120% heart every night.

31-9
Check out the TSN highlights for the NJ - Atl game, they have a clip of the hit Parise took; I'm assuming he's thrashing his legs like that to make sure that they still work, either that or he's in a lot of f'ing pain. http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=191964&hubname=nhl You can also kinda see Zajac's great tip/pass
siouxrunner
I was looking at the rosters for the AHL All-Star game, and all three starting forwards for the PlanetUSA team are from the WCHA. Bochenski will be skating with Erik Westrum and Brett Sterling...nice showing for WCHA hockey.

Siouxdonyms
While you're at you might as well post the bush league hit on Parise by Coburn . . . I don't know if Zach saw his life flash before his eyes but I had the wind knocked out of me and I was watching it on TV; he could've been seriously hurt. I don't agree that it was a bush league hit. Coburn is a rookie whose only played in 26 games so far this year. He's a guy who's trying to make it in the NHL. He made a bad choice. The reason it was so bad was because Zach was off balance. I didn't like it either when it first happened, but if you continued to watch the game, in the next period, Mike Rupp challenged him to a fight because of that hit. He could have skated away, but to earn the respect of his teammates and fellow NHLers, he knew he had to throw the gloves. The kid went down on the first hit to the jaw, and had two more hits to the jaw following that, knocking him out of the game for the night. Have to respect Coburn for knowing that he made a mistake on the hit to Parise, and following it up with going head to head with a more experienced fighter in the NHL. Not bush league though, inexperience.

Coburn made a mistake, but as someone who has played the game I wouldn't have touched Parise as he was obviously off balance and vulnerable, but still Parise is very lucky that he hit the boards the way he did. In better news for Zach, he was selected for the Young Stars game, no Zajac unfortunately. Also some kind words here about Zach from the Devils Color Guy Chico Resch. Siouxdonyms
Also some kind words here about Zach from the Devils Color Guy Chico Resch. Chico loves Zach as much as any Sioux fan I've ever met. I love listening to him during games as he always seems to mention ZPar and Zajac, as well as their connection to Sioux hockey.

Nice to see that the UMTC players are being academically challenged. I wonder if young Erik has mastered cutting the orange slices and applying the Tiger Balm without getting any in Ogopogo's eyes.
