For the fourth consecutive week the Sioux will be facing an elite running back. Sean Treasure has rushed for 870 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Mavericks this year.

"He's quick, fast and big," Lennon said of Treasure, who is second in Division II in all-purpose yardage with 181.8 yards per game.

After shutting down Ferris State's Andrew Terry and Duluth's Dave Rufledt, Duchscher is confident in UND's ability to shut down the run this week.

"We are always confident," he said. "Our defense has been consistent."

The Sioux held the Purple Cows to 78 yards on 48 attempts.

Hall of Fame - 1993 Inductees

Bill Fitch (BB co 1962-67)

A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Fitch is a graduate of Coe College and earned a master's degree in education psychology from Creighton, where he began his coaching career as a baseball and basketball coach. Fitch was head coach of the Sioux basketball program from 1962-67 and led UND to an overall record of 94-45, three straight North Central Conference titles (1965-66-67) and took those last three teams to the NCAA Tournament, finishing third in 1965 and fourth in 1966. He coached two All-Americans at UND in Phil Jackson and Paul Pederson. Fitch left UND for the head coaching job at Bowling Green and from there became head coach at Minnesota. Fitch began his pro career in 1970-71 with the expansion Cleveland Cavaliers (he spend nine years in Cleveland) and went on to four years with the Boston Celtics, five with the Houston Rockets and three with the New Jersey Nets. The first coach to be named NBA Coach of the Year twice, Fitch's overall career NBA record was 845-877, leaving him 5th on the all-time NBA coaches win list.

LaPoint and the Fighting Sioux enter the tournament as one of the country's hottest squads, winning 12 of their past 13 games. For his part, LaPoint is second on the team with a +15 +/- rating and has a career-best 20 assists and 22 points.

UND EAA Chapter Hosts Crookston Fly-In - www.aero.und.edu

The University of North Dakota (UND) Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter will hold its annual Fly-In at the Crookston airport from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5 (2008). There will be activities for the whole family which include a free BBQ, refreshments, aircraft on display, PC Flight Simulators, and flights with a UND pilot (free of charge for kids aged 8 to 17). A legal guardian must be present to sign a permission form for each child wishing to fly. For information on the EAA Young Eagles' program visit www.youngeagles.org.

Jocelyne and Monique Lamoureux accept offers to play for Sioux

A Patty Kazmaier top-10 finalist, Monique Lamoureux led the Gophers in goals and points (39-36-75), while Jocelyne Lamoureux led the team in assists and was second in points (28-37-65). Jocelyne Lamoureux also led the team in both +/- at a +58 and in penalty minutes with 92, along with leading the team in faceoffs taken (won 461 of 816; .565%).

MHKY Notes: Critical series at SCSU awaits Sioux

ROAD WARRIOR: In two road appearances this season, both starts, freshman G Aaron Dell (Airdrie, Alberta) has stopped 30 of 31 shots (.968 SV%) and boasts a tidy 0.51 goals against average.

However, after allowing two goals on 11 shots in one period on Jan. 29 against Denver, Dell is now 0-2-1 with a 3.69 goals against average and an .815 save percentage in three home appearances (two starts).

Overall, Dell is 1-3-1 with a 1.81 goals against average and an .897 save percentage.

2002-03: Played in 27 games, starting 15 of them... averaged 6.7 points, 2.7 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game... made his first collegiate start against Mary (12/30/02), scoring 17 points and grabbing eight rebounds in 21 minutes... finished with 72 assists and 39 turnovers (a 1.8 to 1 ratio)... scored 11 points in season-ending loss to St. Cloud State in the quaterfinals of the North Central Regional tournament (3/14/03)... scored in double figures nine times during the season including four of UND's last six contests... shot 47.7 percent from the field and 36.1 from behind the arc... went 42-of-52 from the free throw line (.808)... his free throw percentage led the team... grabbed 124 rebounds, only Jerome Beasley (259) and Ryan Walker (127) had more... of his 124 rebounds, 52 of them were offensive... his 37 minutes against Nebraska-Omaha (1/4/03) and North Dakota State (3/1/03) was a career high.

On 04DEC2004...the irresistible force overcame the immovable object.

Pitt State, which has shattered NCAA all-division records for scoring (806 points) and total offense (8,605 yards) in its magical run this season, took some time to get itself untracked against a North Dakota defensive unit that entered the game leading Division II in point allowed (10.8 ppg).

School record falls in 800-meter relay at Shamrock Invite - fightingsioux.com (21MAR2010)

CONWAY, S.C. - North Dakota set a school record today at the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational, shattering a 12-year old standard in the 800-meter relay.

UND's quartet of Mikaela Hirst (So., Bismarck, N.D.), Paige Kuplic (Fr., Savage, Minn.), Cheri Boyer (So., Barney, N.D.) and Taryn Anderson (Fr., Remer, Minn.) clocked a time of 1:46.40, toppling the previous school record of 1:47.07 set in 1998 by Jessica Williams, Chantel Larson, Suzanne Bergantine and Crystal White.
