SiouxFanInBoston Posted February 20, 2002 Posted February 20, 2002 When I was home in North Dakota in December listening to the GLI tournament on the radio, the announcers said that North Dakota was going to host a holiday tournament at REA for the next few years and that was why the Sioux wouldn't be back at the GLI for awhile. As for the X-Mass Tourney(yet to be named) Teams that might make up the field. BSU,Uof Manitoba,Uof Alberta.Not the best field but when two are from north of the border, I think it will be a little ruuuuuff. Quote

Riverman, The Holliday Tourney will be as I heard from the Coaches show and from an insider in Bemidji, that the Tourney would be UND vs Yale in the first semfinal game and BSU and Harvard in the other semi. Then the championship game and the thrid place game. Quote

dagies Posted February 21, 2002 Posted February 21, 2002 What gives you more confidence? Wins over Canisius and Niagra, or Michigan, Michigan State? I say schedule the big boys to the extent you can. If the team is struggling they'll learn by playing the best. You'll gain the most confidence by beating the good teams, if you are a good enough team. Quote

And now we know the rest of the story why Minny does not travel out of the league other than to the Michigan schools.$$$$ Budget problems! I am sure Jesse would help them if they would just ask.
