Sorry to quote you again... situations were entirely different. Beurline was well justified to grab Malone's jersey in this situation. He was trying to diffuse the situation.

Anderson was blind-sided by the kid and must have figured that he was run over purposely. When the player skated away, thinking his ass-chewing was over, Anderson skated after him and then grabbed his jersey. It was stupid and he should have received more than a verbal reprimand.
