Ya I am really bitter about it. The BSA is going to be one of the nicest basketball arenas in the upper Midwest, and the seating in it is perfect. It is also quite a bit larger than the Sioux Center, so I don't get your Jamestown Civic Center jab.
If NDSU had an individual, who idolized Hitler and and Nacism, and he was willing to donate $100 million to build a new football stadium, I would hope the university would decline and try to distance themselves from him. Anyone who dresses up like Hilter and gets a painting done of himself, is a sick !@#$. Millions of Jews died because of Hitler and that sick !@#!$ dressed up like him? I would be embarrassed to play in an arena with his name.
Ralph did that stuff on his personal time and obviously did not flaunt it to the public since it was kept fairly secret. I bet some of your grand parents were as racist as Ralph may have been? You going to trash your own ancestors too now?

Great pickup for the Sioux ! I don't know how UND fans couldn't be pumped for the future! Be ready big sky.... He will be rewarded by coming to UND as our past stars have great exposure to the CFL if the NFL doesn't work out.

Roughriders or bust! If the committee and the consulting firm can't see how this name is the only one remaining that actually means something to ND they need to be canned ! It is the only name to come as close to replacing the sioux name as anything else.
Bombers or Sodbusters or Plainsmen could have been good names with a good logo

If they are going to review trademark information does that mean that they are going to finally realize the Dallas Stars are only going to sell us the rights to north stars for a huge sum of money? I don't know why it's on the list if we will have to buy the rights from someone

Is there any way we can bring Ryan Chappel out of the fast food retirement and get back a dominant running back? I'm getting really concerned of how lean we are at that position. It would be nice to have a Hanson type of transfer get ready incase of any injuries.

If this committee really wants to piss alumni off even more they should keep North Dakota as an option. It's really sad that after all this work the best logo they have is the Roughriders. The logo has be be very meaningful for it to truly replace the sioux tradition

These consultants must have gone to college in MN because they have been trying to persuade the committee to not vote for rough riders and to vote for a dumb Hawks name. We need to quit wasting money and fire them. I don't care what urban dictionary says about rough riders because that is not what the name Means to me.
I rather be a truck stop condom than two naked gays guys on the beach doing you know what ......

Seems reasonably well maintained.
What I noticed:
Of the "no nickname" schools (and the "I don't know if they have one" schools) there's only one playing NCAA Division I athletics without a nickname.
You only get one guess as to whom it is.
It's not like the Stanford Cardinal or the Harvard Crimson is an imaginative name. There is also the big green. I don't think those can really be called a mascot. I don't have problem with adopting a lame color or thing such as spirit so we can just call the team North Dakota.
If we don't select North Dakota , Calvary, rough riders , or the north stars I really don't think the new name will take hold with the fans.
What the hell is a sundog anyways?

Only three left and none of them are very spectacular at what they do........I really don't understand the cannibalism that surrounds this university. Fire Kelley, Fire Mussman, Fire Jones, Fire Hakstol, Fire Faison, Fire DiLorenzo, Fire the faculty that take an opposing stand on the nickname, get the nickname thing over with, but don't make a real decision. Why anyone would want to take any position with this university is beyond my understanding, but thank God there are people who will try. What was the last "Fire -------" movement that came out of NDSU? For some reason they seem satisfied with their leadership and allow them to make decisions that have led to great success. It's difficult to lead when you have to be constantly looking over your shoulder to see who is coming after you.

Gee S>B put your jealousy on hold a minute. We played Del. State on one of our GameDays so UNI with a loss is no big deal. Our game with UM is the first game of the year and I imagine most college FB fans will be watching.
Jealous of what? 4 championships and game day you dang right I am. It's just the arrogance of some of these bison fans that bothers me. If I did have those championships I definately would not be expecting the whole college football world (you know the most watched is FBS) to bow down to me because of FCS championships. I decided not to jump on the bandwagon like many fans in he state and they sure did not act like they have been there before. We will see if any flip once UND gets back on track. Good luck with Montana, they are no pushover in the post Crockett era.......

Just because one article states that They think it will happen doesn't mean it even has a small chance. The nation of college football will not even hear about the bison in the headlines this year because they have no fbs game. Keep dreaming man! The country cares about fbs teams.
If it did happen both teams would Need to be undefeated which means UNI would have to beat Iowa

Those dip sticks on bisonville aka FU trailer park don't want to have real discussions about the rivalry. They don't have much common sense over there.
I'm glad I don't have to hear this year all about how they would win the big 12 after beating just one crappy FBS team every year.

Bison fans are bunch of scared girls. They know they won't be on top forever so they act tough as a false front. The state wants his game and has waited long enough to renew it. All you Bison doubters will realize who is your real rival. How long has bison football been relevant to the state of ND? 7 years? UND may not win this year but it is only a matter of time......

Pretty cool to see he used UND as a stepping stone rather than staying in fbs another year. I wonder if that helped with his exposure to the CFL?

The university needs to stop suppressing the rights of the Sioux people and should return the rights to the logo to the Sioux tribes. Some may use it and some may not but it should be THEIR CHOICE! I don't care if they ever approve the logo for UND to use. Keeping the logo from the Sioux people makes the university racist and Kelley should be ashamed .
