If a kid quits, he quits. Now quitting with 3 games left, 2 of them at home, there is something there. My son wanted to quit after the season last year in MN. I knew they were going to take away his scholarship. I told him fight it out, be seen, have a great spring game and we will take it from there. My son is explosive violent and VERBAL. Being verbal gets you in the dog house fast. Getting out of the dog house in D1 is almost impossible. So my son left and is here now. Leaving and looking for a better fit, no problem with that. We all have done it. But even when we leave, we give 2 week notices. leaving with 3 games left is puzzling. If it's concussion related, the coaches would understand and want you to still be a part of the team, obviously not playing. I really wish them the best. As youths, mistakes are made. I include myself in that statement.

If Bartels can't play, all I hope is that the defense can make it respectable. And if he can't, I feel the punter has got to put some power in those kicks to pin them. Now matter who starts, I feel our field position is lousy most of the time.

2 THINGS: 1) everyone was excited about this team. tremendous improvement, good defense. We are happy with the progress. And yes, WE all had a glimpse of hope for the playoffs. We all wished and wanted it. Nothing wrong with that. That's why we are fans. We go 5-7 or 6-6, it's still a good year. We have a lot to look forward to. I'm happy with the strides we are making. Bubba came in and fixed his defense first. Now the offense is picking up. Guys we can look forward to a very competitive season next year. I'm happy. 2) About the NDSU fans. Follow your team, enjoy your season, and we will meet next year. Until then, much success.

Guys, Hope all is well with everyone and their families. I kinda told you guys we are not as bad as we looked. We are going to be a very improved team and a contender next year. the mistakes that would've changed the game. I'm not saying if this happens, we win. But in football, everything goes. The bad snaps CAN NOT happen in game 6, especially 2. The refs were HORRIFIC at best. Hinojosa nearly getting the safety. The hold on the FG. Everything else can and will be corrected.
