About Sharp, or any other player, the answer is the same. The coaches will play the player that gives them the best chance to win, judged by them. So ability and performance are the criteria, mixed in with character. We have a punter that 'didn't tell the truth about his eligibility' yet talent wise is a better punter than the freshman. And, we have someone on the d-line with talent, but with some character issues, and his playing time has been affected. With Sharp, I don't know of any character issues, so I have to conclude the coaches are more confident in the other backs as far as ability and performance.

You do understand what 'Extremely Hypothetical' means in this case, correct? It's not like the topic is named 'Playoffs Here We Come!!'

That number might be a little skewed as Cal Poly put up 470 (going off memory) rushing yards or something crazy against SUU......and that's an unconventional running attack. But overall point taken, we should be able to muster at least 150/ground, 150/air, or it will be a disappointment.

I hope he is back in the mix, but we are still running behind a Barry Sanders type line......that hopefully evolves into an Emmit Smith type line the next few years.

I think for the most part if a defense wants to shut down our run game, they will, cause we don't have the horses to force it down anyone's throat. Like an old CEO told me, "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't shove his head in it." That said, I think Rudolph has accepted this to a point and starting taking more yards via the pass. Opening up the passing game may open up the run game......we'll see. I'd like to think we could run or pass on Southern Utah cause they haven't stopped either.

About the game - Southern Utah, last 3 games has passing yards of 402, 434, and 528 in the most recent loss. UND only had 503 total yards in its last 2 games combined (Griz and Portland St.) to add some perspective. Point being, Southern Utah might not even bother with running the ball, I wouldn't if I were them. We really need our offense to chew up the clock and yards, and capitalize with TD's on drives. If we lay an egg offensively we'll be in trouble. Definitely an interesting matchup with their passing yards and if we are susceptible on defense, it's the passing defense. I think the whole secondary is due for some picks. note to Schmitty: watch #6 out of the backfield on wheel route, don't get caught in man-to-man with LB

We have 4 dog fights left on the schedule and an Eastern Washington game in which we're a 2-3 touchdown dog. Here's to biting and scratching the rest of the year-

I have no idea what you are talking about. I am pretty sure students want to drink cheap beer and not be hassled, and live life through a smart phone.

We need a uniform contract in a bad way. Kids want to look good, cool, whatever you want to call it.

That word starts with a d and ends with a bag.

Who are you arguing with.....if you are looking for a reaction about the same story every year here is one- total !@#!$! comment.

Point being 7-5 is a no go for playoffs, especially with bad loss to Missouri St. and struggles with Robert Morris.
-
I'm sure someone will do a big analysis but it appears to me the Big Sky is down a bit this year and Missouri Valley is solid. So I will say it, I think the Big Sky is second fiddle.

My frustrations are because of high expectations. You can watch freshman quarterbacks and 1st year starters all over the country lighting things up and when you look at our QBs.......they've had a redshirt year, a freshman year (both under Muss), and now in their 3rd year we should be seeing better QB play. If you're going to be a stud my feeling is you would have seen it by now, 3rd year in college football. I guess the SUU game will be telling for Molberg. I think the reps will be more divided in practice because 1) different guys react differently to concussions 2) everyone is ultrasensitive about the 'C' word so any little thing that goes wrong will be 'concussion' related with Joe.

Age requirements? Probably a drinking initiation?

That was really funny. Good one.

Can't argue what Bartels did in a half game. I would give Bartels 2 weeks and give him his shot. I still don't know how good/bad these 2 are cause as an offense we could use help at every position.......serious help.

Most guys can handle extra weight and not lose speed and mobility, not sure with Joe, cause he was a pretty good runner in high school. You can project players to drop a few tenths off a 40 in college. I think Joe added a tenth.

What was horrible was the Sac State game last year and after that it was too painful to go to a game or bring a friend to a game. This year, we are a fun team to watch. It will take time.

Closest 8 point game I recall. Rudolph is showing he will take what the defense is giving(let's put the Stoney Brook game behind us) I think Rudolph is going to be really good for UND....with his guys the next few years. We can win more games this year, but I think they will all be close. And with the injuries.....good to have a bye week. Congrats to the players and coaches today!!

23-13 good guys. Sioux rush for 175 yards..........boring pick and similar to others........but boring would be a good victory.
-
Forgot about Cheatom a little bit for depth at NG.......roughly how many snaps has he had this year?
-
I had a Jim Mora flashback, too. Let's start with Portland State.

Concerning the one targeting call, Montana td shortly after. I can't stand a fricken ref making a judgement call affecting a game so much. How does a team go about reviewing the officiating crew?

Coaches were all over CanadInn this morning with recruits and parents. Good to see, Bubba and staff is putting in the time.
