  1. Very good point. It seems that we took a bigger hit in the PWR not from so much what we did but what the rest of the league did.
  2. Thanks for popping my bubble. He is really young still having just turned 21 two months ago. Gives him time to improve where needs to.
  3. OK now you have me wondering. Would they have gotten in still by beating WMU and OSU winning? I thought the Badgers had to win for UND to get in. Am I off here?
  4. That was the best prepared team that played the rodents that I have seen in a long time. The also were ready for WMU. Ferris was one of those so so ones. But that rodent game was one of Hakstols best prepared coaching jobs I think he almost has ever had. They looked different than they had all season.
  5. Very good point. I did not think of it that way.
  6. Ask a question and get an answer. Thank you.
  7. And I am saying that he had nothing to do with them even getting to the regionals.
  8. Who scored the goals?
  9. Beg to differ on that. How did he do such a great job when what got them there was an overtime goal in a game UND was not in? If OSU had won that game no regionals for UND.
  10. Thank you. I knew that Modano played one more year back in the W after the draft.
  11. One year in the A for seasoning then on to the NHL.
  12. Did Linden play right away unlike Modano? When the North Stars made their Stanley Cup run in 1991 it was funny how many North Star fans thought he was Canadian. I might him in 1991 outside a clothing store in the Uptown neighborhood. Really nice kid at the time. I did not ask him about the NHL at all. I asked him how old was he when he went to Prince Albert and what playing in the W was like. He seemed to like being asked that and we talked about the W for over a half an hour.
  13. Nor has Miller bounced around the minor leagues like mcKee.
  14. Saw your horse on TV today. He was wearing a straw hat and sunglasses hanging out at the beach with a bunch of beach bums. He had run away. He even said a horse who would leave a sweet guy like you has to be nuts.
  15. Manysohta! yah you betcha.
  16. Got tired of looking after 15 years and figured that was a good point to stop at. I was left wondering how common this was with first round picks.
  17. Hakstol scored the Ohio State overtime goal? He did not get them there.
  18. I count seven years. I guess he was the player to be named later. But he did play one game in the NHL. Going over their (Canucks) first round picks over the last 15 years I found only three players who ever helped them. The Sedin brothers and Ryan Kesler. Only one other pick of theirs in that time did much and that was Ryan Kessler. Though he never signed with the Canucks. Is this common? 15 picks and end up with three players?
  19. Common.
  20. Hence my lucky question and confirmation that they were lucky.
  21. Squirrel!
  22. The most important thing is you left out the fact that year was not a fluke. Following season he followed up with a 1.77 and a .936. Year before Hobey he 1.53 and a .932. Then look at the stellar career he has had in the NHL.
  23. Well we were in the Frozen Four so what really would have been different? Everything really worked out well in the end for us. Lucky? Is Winnie-the-Pooh a chubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff?
  24. How about Stauber that Hobey stealing ahole who stole it from Paul Ranheim? I wonder how he would have responded if the Rodnets had a player like Panzer that did not win? Who wants to bet he would have a different response?
