Don't get to dizzy spinning there. He was a goalie that can be questioned if he deserved it over the other finalists as easily as saying Miller deserved it more than Panzer which you just did.

Looking back through Hakstol's reign they played a lot of games against "weak" teams. MT, AA, Robert Morris, etc. and did not do that great always against them. Maybe they just did not look that great this past season because they did not play with any real excitement. More grinding than flashy.

Why did it seem that this past season was off when their record was extremely similar to Hakstol's other seasons? They really did as good as other years with less it seems.

People have mentioned others who have left early and never got out of the AHL. I wonder if these guys ever really expected to rise above the AHL? Of course they dreamed of playing in the NHL but did they really expect to?

You are right they didn't. Looking right at the NTDP site he had a lot more points. Now I see why the expectations were so high.

Not really a subsidy per se like corn and wheat. The government loans Crystal Sugar money at an extremely low rate. If Crystal does not want to pay the loan they dump sugar onto the government. The sugar is the collateral for the loan. They have protections in place to keep other sugar out of the market. They grow wheat and corn (the farmers) that they want to sell to other countries. Then they want to keep the same countries from selling sugar here.

No money in beets last year. Lots of guys lost money on beets, especially the guys renting stock. Not going to be much better this year.

That would be saying a lot considering how few games he played in the three years prior to coming to UND.
