Kinda shocked actually but to do things legit with licensed manufacturers takes a bit of a process. Not as simple as all the knockoff fbwarriors

Also I see some liability with selling these masks. Say I buy the legacy 2 pack ( 1 brien logo and geo)... and i get the rona while im wearing it at capn jacks picking up a couple racks of PBR to get through my kids schoolwork for the day.....

Whose to say people dont start suing... that aspect of it would be an issue, i think thats going to be a huge aspect of the coming years if there isnt more specific tort regulations passed, and thats if there even should be, its a big complex issue,  or yet another big complex issue

Good point. I did notice that the NBA and NFL licensed masks that Fanatics is selling have a disclaimer stating that they are not intended to be PPE or to prevent or protect from any form of illness or disease.

Maybe the saddest thing of all is that little, old inewz.tv (love him or hate him) consistently scoops both the Herald and WDAY/WDAZ on Grand Forks area news.  I don't know if he's a professionally or even a minimally trained journalist, but he definitely cuts the BS and gets facts out quickly.  He seems to get reliable information, usually from law enforcement or official government sources.  Does that dude ever sleep?

And you have to love all the google earth b-roll

I'm in the same boat as you, mine is in Early September but we haven't moved anything yet or plan to until otherwise told.

I'm supposed to be in a wedding in Idaho at the end of June and I'm kinda wary of traveling. We'll see what changes over the next month here.

  4. I emailed Val Sussex today regarding what the plan is if the season is cancelled or played without fans and got this response:

Thanks for the message. Right now we continue to prepare for the 2020-21 athletic season and greatly appreciate your loyal and generous support. Our fans are an essential part of UND Athletics and in an effort to answer questions you may have regarding ticketing/Champions Club memberships in the event the upcoming seasons are disrupted, please know that we are working diligently to provide multiple options, including refunds. We look forward to gathering again and celebrating many UND victories.

I hope that helps! You do have until May 31st to renew your season tickets and membership. Feel free to pause and wait until toward the end of May if you want to see if the NCAA comes out with any new information around the 1st of May.

Please let me know if you have any other questions,

    Val

    @MarkDivver

Look for '04 F Adam Fantilli of Kimball Union, one of top prospects in North America, to sign a tender with USHL Chicago Steel tomorrow, per industry sources

    And there it is.

They are going to have to cut some more.  I've been torn on what they should be doing this offseason.  Part of me just wants them to go last year on Zim, Spielman, Kirk, and Cook and load up for one more run.  If it doesn't work... start from scratch.

The other part of me says:  tear it all down now.

The fact that Kirk hasn't has hit contract extended or reworked yet sends a signal to me that.... he may just go into this season without a deal.

It's definitely going to be interesting.  I love Dalvin, but at the same time if you look at all the recent megadeals for RBs it has not been good (Gurley, Zeke, Bell).  Extending Kirk theoretically gives them room to do some restructuring and create more space for this year, but i'm not sure 3+ more years of Kirk is the answer either.  I'm fine with Zimmer getting an extension,

You should probably look into the North Dakota Center for Distance Education. Online school based in North Dakota.

Will do. I think she was coming at it from the angle of having to make up days that were missed. I told her not to worry about it. The governor can make changes in emergencies if needed.

MN GBB tournaments started and played yesterday.....just cancelled the rest of the tournaments.  Unbelievable.  WTF changed in 24 hours in MN?

When does the shoe drop that ALL HS activities in this country thru the rest of the school year get cancelled?

Doesn't that almost seem inevitable at this point?  I'm also wondering when the other shoe drops on the public schools around here. I think it's up to 6 states, DC and many cities.  That's going to have a real impact on people (as has been discussed previously here).  My wife is a teacher and she said they've discussed very little regarding what will happen.

Which indicates it's mortality rate is nowhere what was first predicted but keep fanning the gloom and doom.

Again, i'm not trying to fan doom and gloom I just think there's potentially fire to the smoke here.  You may be right and this is all overkill.  I don't know.

I appreciate your opinion and very much appreciate how you ended your post- such is the way it should be in this great country.

Fear and the reactions of people are the greater danger than the pathogen itself.  With six degrees of separation, it doesn’t take much to quarantine all of society.

Is this virus such a threat that stopping its spread is more important than living our normal lives?  I haven’t seen facts that indicate that it is.   The simple reality is this virus is here to stay now...it will come every year.  We will eventually vaccinate, but it will mutate- just like flu and other Coronaviruses.

if society shuts down from natural pathogens- we are at midnight on the doomsday clock.

And honestly I agree about trying to avoid a panic. There's so much information flying around right now, who knows what to think?  Thanks for being civil.  Cheers and Go Sioux!

"The corona is 10x more fatal than the flu"......

Since been debunked statistically. Was at 3% mortality 3 weeks ago, then down to 1% (hence your 10x worse), now down to roughly at 0.5%.

Yes, and all of those stats are foolproof since everyone has been able to get tested as needed.  Keep on keeping on brother.

Do they shut it down if a player gets influenza or measles?   They certainly don’t from STIs....

The guideline from the health organizations currently is to quarantine.  I guess they could choose to ignore that.  I don't think that's the smart move but i'm not an expert either.  I'm choosing to listen to the experts, but you can do what you want.

The shutting down of American Institutions like the NCAA tournaments and the NBA send the completely wrong message.  It invokes greater fear.

From a practical standpoint, though, what is the NBA supposed to do once multiple players on a team test positive?  They need to quarantine.  Does that team just have to forfeit its games? What about all the players, media members, staffers, fans, etc those players have come into contact with?  At some point their hands are tied.

I guess i'm glad we have so many experts in our corner of the internet here.
