Hopefully YSU beats SIU this weekend...there would be two 7-4 Valley teams....don't see how you couldn't take one of them....and obviously we get the tie breaker on that. Let's just win so our only worry is if we are seeded or not.

A lot of people on the FCS fans nation page saying......Big Sky with 5 or 6 teams in, and Valley with only 2, but it's probably fans from the Big Sky that are saying that of course. Just seems flat out ridiculous the Big Sky would get 6 in and only 2 from MVFC, especially if that 3rd MVFC team has a top 10 SoS. Just can't see the selection committee doing that without some major justification. Hoping Montana and Idaho lose this weekend. Hopefully our old nemesis Idaho State can help us out and upset Idaho. If Montana loses they don't have a single good win all season, they would have to hang their hat on close/quality losses and 7-4. ACU winning this Saturday would definitely be big for us, hope YSU wins also.

Yeah but if they come right back and score on their opening drive right away, that great momentum from the first drive is shot anyway. I think I'd still probably defer to get the ball to start the second half, but I can certainly see both sides of it. If they score on first drive though, but we come right back and score.....it's kind of deflating for the team that just scored.

I expect us to score a TD on the first possession every game now, I mean it almost seems like it's a given we are going to have a good opening drive.

How many times have we scored a TD on our opening drive this year. Seems like we've gotten a TD on like half of our opening drives this....kinda crazy....but keep it up!

With the way things have played out and SIU losing, I am ok with YSU losing. If they won and also win next week they are 8-3 and probably seeded ahead of us. I'd say we are now locked at being at least the 3rd seeded Valley team....and are now also a lock for the playoffs no matter what happens....unless we get beat 55-0 or something next week.

You know damn well if we would have went 6-5, which is what you predicted after our loss to SDSU, as soon as the horn sounded on that 5th loss.....you would have been right here to tell us all....."I told you so".

Agree, however I think their record might have been better with Bauman playing all year. With him in the won their last two games and just beat SIU who went 'toe to toe' with the Bison. Defense definitely still makes me very nervous and our offense will have to win most games. But before the game I would have easily taken 19 points if somebody said that is all USD would get.

Yeah woulda been safer because if it was incomplete they only get the ball on the 2. But I doubt he was thinking about that....he was just hoping for a prayer on the jump ball.

Oh haha yeah! Even better. SIU and NDSU would be tied at 7-4 with SIU having the tie breaker. I think my subconcious mind can't let us get to 8-3 because it's been so long, hoping we do!

And he only threw that because it was 4th down....might as well throw it up and hope. If that was 3rd down he throws it out of the back of the end zone.

Should we beat NDSU next week and SIU beats them, and YSU wins out. UND, SIU, and NDSU are all 7-4 with NDSU losing to both schools. YSU would be 8-3. Could Bison be out of the playoffs? I bet all of the sudden people will be thinking the MVFC should get 5 in instead of some people now saying 2 in lol

Agree, but when it's all said and done today....they only scored 19....not bad. They are better with Bauman at QB than they were earlier in the year when they didn't look good. Just when I said earlier....why the hell would anybody predict we hold someone to 20 points or less...we do it

This is the one time in my life I want NDSU to win, assures SIU is out of the playoffs. They are the only team that has the advantage on us in a tiebreaker situation.

South Dakota is going to be tough next year, sounds like only 12 seniors on the team. They will be better with Bauman at the helm all year next year. Enjoying this win.....let's get another next week!
