In response to your question about the early Spring Football . . . I was told that they wanted to have Spring practice done earlier so that if there were any injuries, they would have more time to heal up before Fall camp started. Same with weight training. The longer break between the Spring ball and Fall camp gives the guys more time to get their weight back up.
As for Spring break in the middle . . . that's just how it goes down.
