7-5 this year for Salukis. 5-3 in conference. 8 point loss at Illinois. 3 point loss in Double OT to Eastern Illinois. 8-4 if they schedule at least one cupcake there instead and they make the playoffs. 6 years in, ranks 2nd all time for HC winning percentange. Personally think Lennon and staff get a bad rap.

I will 100% support either Bubba or DeBoer. I also think both would do an excellent job for UND and get football relevant again. That being said, I would want to know the details behind Faison's timing, specifically delay or amount of time it has taken...especially when you see kids leaving the program, kids that maybe could have been saved if HC was announced when it should have been done...11th or 12th at the latest. If there was a legit reason for this delay (i.e. trying to land late super star) then fine, time to move on. But, if the delay was purely on him for 1) not being prepared and/or 2) failing to act as quickly as he should have acted then I have serious reservations about his capabilities to lead an athletic department.

I asked this before because I don't know, but what are Faison's great hires? Reason I ask is because I have read this comment before.

Because Caruso spent time with NDSU while DeBoer spent time with Lennon...which means he is the same as Mussman.

100% agree. The only thing that makes any sense for me now is that he must be looking to hire someone not on the original list. IMO, if he takes all of this time and hires someone on the original list he is an absolute joke of an AD. If he hires outside of the list, then there was a method for his madness.

Serious question. The "9" have not been announced yet right? Is the open records portion only applicable when applying?

I'm on record for wanting Bubba...or Pflu or Caruso. That being said, if you think this program has bottomed out now, hire someone like Mills with no real ties to the program or area and see him go 2-3 wins each year for a couple years. And you think no one is at the Alerus now? Funeral home.

Why is Bubba responsible for Mussman's failures? With so many coaches on a staff, you can't lump everyone together...good or bad. Bubba was at UND, with success, long before Mussman showed up.

Not that I know, but hoping maybe he was laying low waiting on NDSU situation? Also trying to continue my "Faison knows what he is doing" self discipline. Sure hope Faison is calling him right now though, as I know many talk highly about him within NDSU...great recruiter, smooth, etc.

Hire Bubba. If there is new money available for staff, maybe he pulls DeBoer from SIU as OC. Both guys were top candidates, and one of them probably would be HC for us right now if 1) we would have had an actual AD in place when Lennon left and 2) we didn't hire from within. Personally, I think the staff at SIU gets a bad wrap. Look at their schedule, results and games. They are and have been a very, very good football team. Also, if they schedule a cupcake like everyone else early in the year they probably make the playoffs. A majority of the alumni would support Bubba. A majority of the ex players would support Bubba. A majority of the fan base would support Bubba. Plus he would give everything he could give in order to 1) make UND football relevant again and not a laughing stock and 2) even better, get UND football back on top. Also looking at a long term hire, as this would be his last move IMO. Let's do this Faison, HIRE BUBBA!!

I am officially changing my attitude on this to Faison knows exactly what he is doing, and it will work out great! After all, there is no possible way to explain the number of days it took from "deadline" to "down to 9"...so he must be doing it for a reason.

I'll be the first guy in line for "I was wrong on Faison"...and I hope I am.
