DU has been on a roll after losing 4 in a row to UND and SCSU. The Heinen line is dangerous and we need to keep the pressure on them and stay out of the box. Teams know each other very well and I think it gives the Sioux an edge having been swept in Denver. Going to be a hell of a game. Like most teams, DU is a much better team now than they were at the start of the season.

Definitely need everybody to be on their game. I thought the Sioux actually outplayed Denver in Denver for the Friday night game. They outshot them 45-31 and as I remember right, had some quality scoring chances but it was one of those nights the puck just did not find the back of the net. The Saturday night game, it appeared that both teams were spent from all of the energy expended the night before. I also heard that the flu had gone thru the lockerroom earlier that week. If they play with the energy they showed in regionals and are relentless once again on their forecheck with all 4 liines, I like their chances.

Agreed, I think the Simo line brings an edge and when the team needs a lift they seem to ignite it. There forechecking this past weekend was relentless.

I didn't think they could do that during an NC$$ event? You can drink in the bars inside the arena's but you can not drink in your seat or take your drink out of that bar. As money hungry as the NCAA is, surprising they pass on this revenue. I believe that there is drinking permitted in the suites.

NORTH DAKOTA vs. BC - Dec. 3rd 2016. Madison Square Garden

About 400 miles so not really a day trip. -
The airline tickets may only get more expensive. As the planes fill up seats the fares seem to go up too.

I think you may be correct. The first time Frozen Four virgins will be shocked by how many Sioux fans show up.
-
If it is anything like Boston, Philly, and Pitt., I would think we should easily surpass 5000 fans. To me it seems to be growing with each Frozen Four. Boston people were shocked by how many ND fans showed up in their town. As far as BC fans, alot of Boston fans live in Florida, however many of them are not BC fans. Last year during the semifinals, all of the BC fans that were sitting in our section were cheering for ND as they can not stand BU and I don't imagine BU fans will suddenly start cheering for the Eagles. There was a ton of green at the Garden last year.

It would be interesting to know how many fans there are from each team, but unfortunately everybody does like us and pulls it out of their @$@%. Denver is usually pretty easy to count however.
-
The last time the Frozen Four was held in Tampa, the attendance was approximately 18,500 for each session. The lowest attended Frozen Fours was the last 2 years in Philly and Pitt. at approximately 17,500. The BC# surprises me but alot of people from the NE moved to Florida to retire. I would be surprised if the attendance did not approach 18K per game. Hopefully half are Sioux fans.

Debatable how many fans from the other teams will show up. Denver will have their usual 10-12 fans. BC will have significantly more but they typically do not travel that well when they have to leave their own backyard. No idea on Quinnipiac but am guessing they will have somewhere in between. Alot of fans are from the other teams that did not make it but go every year so unlikely they will be selling their tickets.

Thanks, we had quite a large group that attended fervently every weekend. I know they were looking for another place and had heard the a place in Mesa called The Hub was a possibility. I went there the end of February but nobody was there so assume that did not work out. If you hear of anything, please let us know. Always enjoyed the group gathering for watching the games.
-
RT O'Sullivans closed their doors back in February. We had a pretty good sized group that watched there on a regular basis. I have not heard if any place has replaced it yet. We are heading for Tampa via Orlando, but if I hear anything, I will post it.

I doubt too many people think the Denver game is in the bag. We have had disappointment happen to us too many times in the past 16 years to think any game is in the bag at a Frozen Four. The best team does not always win. That being said, Denver has a very good team and has been playing very well down the stretch. We need to bring our A game and the intensity that we showed this past weekend.

I always thought that the hero of our last championship, Lee Goren, could have help himself significantly by coming back for another season.

Lots of very good recruits waiting to fill those spots from early departures. The coaches expect some of that. It is when you get gashed at the last minute like J. T. Miller that it has a big effect. With UND's atmosphere and large and enthusiastic fan base, recruits have to foaming at the mouth to commit. The Frozen Four will be an example as I am betting that the number of Sioux fans at the games will outnumber all of the other schools combined.
-
We are also at the Embassy Suites Convention Center. Hopefully Sioux fans dominate the hotel. If they have their normal windows, I anticipate lots of Sioux jerseys hanging in the windows facing the atrium!
-
All of that with a sea of Green!
-
Agreed, Party should be starting at 2. Somehow I believe alot of Sioux fans will be there much earlier than 5:30.
-
If the turnout is anything like Boston, there will be UND fans throughout the arena. Our seats are in sec. 101.

Have to believe that some of these guys that are in the discussion will be serious candidates for Hobey Baker consideration next year. I would think Stecher would most definitely be on that scoreboard when they announce the final 10. We have seen a substantial jump in their development and each player has to analyze their situation but it never hurts to improve your leverage in contract negotiations. There have been many who have left early only to toil in the lower levels and never realize their dream.
-
Reporter on ESPN2 reported yesterday that ND fans were busy scooping up all of the tickets for Frozen Four. DU's other 6 fans better make up their minds quickly.
-
Some of the guys that are contemplating leaving early should talk to others who left early because they thought they were ready and weren't. Many regrets and in many instances screwed their chance to ultimately make it to the big show.
-
Last year, my impression was that the entire arena was pretty much the Sioux section. Boston people could not believe how many Sioux fans showed up. Hoping for the same or more turnout this year.

He looked like he was tired, didn't have that same jump in his step. I have a hunch he will show up big time in Tampa.
