    Question about sticks and cost. If the stick breaks how expensive if you need to replace entire stick. However if the shaft breaks can it be replaced with another shaft. If the blade is damaged can the rest of the stick be used by adding a new blade. I grew up with one piece Christian Brothers stick.

    We hear about coming off a big win players have to watch out for sweep. The players know this but how will they play when the puck is dropped.

    A lot of home games so far this year, all games are overall very important, before the team faces opponents on their home ice.

    I was happy with this new D-Corps. They were out there working together and becoming an elite group that should pay dividends at the end of year.

    The win is essential. UND wins 27-13.

    I just missed seeing a game by a few months. I enrolled at UND during summer session 1972. Would have loved to see a game in the old barn. I hear it was a fun and very cold adventure.

    Gaber showed great leadership tonight rather then trying to do it all himself.

    If UND has a loss or tie for this game. It is UND’s fault when they go 0 for 6 in power plays.

    How many times does UND have a 2 on 2 rush trying to enter their zone. The opponent is cheating to the far side and UND player has a lane to enter the zone on the nearside. Then UND feels compelled to make a cross ice pass to the far side UND player which gets intercepted. I believe the opponents begin looking for that pass. To much passing predictability. Near side player should bring it in the zone and shoot with the far side player looking for a possible rebound. Now you can pass or shoot, so two threats instead of one is available. Also stops the opponent from cheating in on a possible pass. Be unpredictable.

    Finally a sweep turn at the point with a immediate shot by UND. Goofers have done this a number of times.

    Players need to have their head on a swivel to look for and clean up the garbage.

    The biggest frustration last night was the shutout. With the scoring ability of these players we should not be shutout. The shooting inability, to be unpredictable, seems to be creeping into our mentality again. More shots to make the other team to start guessing where the shots will come from and making the other team not predict the pass.

    They have to get in there to have experience. What is the old saying: “the boys have to become men at some point.” I look forward to what these players are becoming.
