  1. UND 37- 29
  2. Finally they saw the interference/impeding.
  3. Really enjoying the way the players are able to take the puck off the sticks of the tommies. And the way UND is able under pressure to weave and stick handle through the opponents.
  4. The shots for UND will start to drop behind that goalie.
  5. So far so good on penalty kill.
  6. We have six good shots. Last year we would still be passing for our first shot.
  7. Now watching game between Penn State and ASU. Lot of penalties because of aggressive players on Penn State. Not impressed with their play.
  8. Sure feels like a bright future with this team.
  9. My wife is not on this site but wanted to share her observation. Very impressed at how many UND players are always around the net to pick up the garbage (former soccer coach). Before the shortie, she said said we need a shortie, then it happened! No wonder she knows what I am up to.
  10. Jack Kernan what a great choice for the team.
  11. Oops missed the face-off totals - anyone have the stats for the game so far?
  12. I had that problem before - back out, sign out and even back out of browser, then go back into browser and sign back in. It worked for me.
  13. They stick and swarm the net (sweet - to use a term that one of my kids like to use). The players seem not to be afraid to go to the net. And they recover so fast when transitioning.
  14. Very interesting how the young players can use the opposing players sticks. They even bounce the puck off the opponents sticks when hemmed in, and then break past the opponent to continue toward the goal or make a pass.
  15. Great to see those young players walk right through defenders, taking the puck and shooting on net for a goal.

  17. North Dakota ranks #1 in honey-production within the United States.
  18. My favorite moment from the last National Championship game that UND won was the bizarre goal where the goalie's clearance deflected off Brock Boeser's rear end, and he immediately capitalized by burying the puck into the net. This unforgettable college memory serves as a great backdrop for the news that Boeser is reportedly finalizing a massive seven-year contract extension with the Vancouver Canucks, valued at approximately $50 million. It's clear that this commitment is driven not just by money, but by the fact that he's a player who genuinely loves the culture in Vancouver.
  19. Was this the shot off a face-off and three players touched the puck or was it 4 players touched the puck.
  20. Eli's extended absence until Christmas, this recovery period presents significant opportunities for development. His physical rehabilitation can be used to achieve specialized cross-training benefits: If the injury is lower body, he can use the time to focus on developing upper body strength while simultaneously managing lower body rehab. Conversely, an upper body issue allows for dedicated work on lower body strength and conditioning concurrently with the upper body's recovery. This downtime is also crucial for mental and tactical skill acquisition: He will have a valuable opportunity to study game film and observe practice sessions to learn the team's strategies, plays, and the coaches' specific expectations. Watching games from a detached perspective can provide extensive time for game-flow analysis and deeper understanding of his position and team dynamics. If Eli approaches this recovery period as a "rainbow of opportunity" — a chance for targeted, specialized development — he is likely to return to the sport with a notably enhanced and integrated skillset. In the long run this could be helpful for him as a UND recruit.
  21. The first games I went to at UND, the goalie wore a face hugging type of mask. That early goaltender face-mask was, I believe a fiberglass shell, directly molded to the face. The absence of a cage and likely minimal eye protection created a high-risk environment for significant eye injuries from direct impact.
  22. Thank you
  23. I was disappointed to have missed the game. Could you tell me if many of the backup players got a chance to play? I'm also curious about how the field goal and extra-point kicking went.
