    Suspicious JJ "injury."

Guys on the team fighting over women.

Numerous other (practice) "injuries," so many UND needs to bring in a new goalie midseason.

Numerous underclassman players leaving the program early, and going to play for other collegiate teams.

Recruits decommitting to play for Brad Berry and some deciding to play for rival NCHC teams instead.

After never missing the tournament in a thousand years, Brad Berry misses it in 2 out of his 4 years!

What is going on with Brad Berry led hockey teams? He's only a couple years in and there is already a lot of troubling signs!

    Fire Haks!

Really proud of the effort from Brew and his squad today.  ORU is real powerhouse.

If only they had a brand new arena.....

I hear your sarcasm and yes, the arena is fine.  It's the recruiting and coaching that isn't.  This is not good, a once proud program that in its D-2 heyday beats ORU looks like a middle of the road/meddling D-2 team now.  If there's not a coaching change after this season, my gosh.  What Roebuck built, a proud women's hoops program with a real nice fan base (now deteriorating), has just been burned in a dumpster fire these last few seasons.  And next season looks like the downward trend continues.  Yoy.

Probably wouldn't have mattered, but why would you not pull the goalie after giving up the SHG when still on PP. you now need 2 goals.  PP goal seemed like a must.

I was not able to listen to the game but got periodic updates from a person seated next to me at men's hoops (radio via headphones) but I just assumed you would do that down 2 with a pp to gain the 2 extra attackers.  Hard to believe Berry didn't do that.  Yoy.

We'll see if they can finally finish a series tomorrow night and work their way back into tourney contention. If only you could flip the caniscius weekend this team would be in a whole different place.

That's a big key, can we win tonight back-to-back and sweep a top qlty team on the road tonight?  I may be wrong but, even though we've beaten/tied a good number of qlty teams, I'm not sure we've even swept any team at all this season of any quality (currently top 20), have we?

I agree that the goal should have been allowed, which would have given us a W, but even still it's been the same story most of the year. Lots of shots, we "outplay" the opponent and lose. Our shooting percentage is garbage. Whether it's bad recruiting or coaching, it's on Berry to fix it fast.

But that was such a BS reversal/call on the replay.  Look at Denver's reaction, none of the players including the goalie even, protested the goal it appears.

The fan forum (or the dozen or so that post) on the Miami site are getting fed up with Enrico and the Miami meltdown this season.

I really think all those years in the CCHA and playing a good chunk of games against sub-par competition really is staring to show its true colors. I think Miami would have been a middle-of-the-pack team in the old WCHA. Maybe would challenge, and get an auto-bid now and again, but not be the juggernaut it was in the old CCHA.

Other than that one season it won the NCHC conference tournament, it's looking like that program bit off more than it can chew in the NCHC.

Not too many conference cupcakes anymore to pad the wins.

I know it was more than just wins and losses but I was surprised (still am) when Minn St-Mankato didn't get in the NCHC over Miami.  Had to be something, I'm sure.

You say that but you literally led it with, "Didn't like my comment..." seems pretty petty to me

By no means a Mafia Man apologist but Denver (along wit St Clown) is now off the table too.  Two down, two to go, who then do we sweep?

I agree.....BUT.....the league had a chance to clean up the officials mess. Instead they reviewed the knee on knee hit and came up with.... " clear thigh on thigh hit."

So HTF did Mishmash's knee get hurt? Yoy.

I said 0-8 in the next 8 was a real possibility two weeks ago...I’m on track for 1-7.  So close.

MM, you might be wrong in terms of "close".  You're just looking at wins.  You haven't accounted for puck luck it appears so can't put that on us (outside of our control).  I haven't checked the stats but aren't we 4-0 (or 3-1?) if looking at "wins" as winning SOG and face-offs won (percentage) only?

Win the postseason tournament?  Better hope for all shutouts as this team just can not finish.  There are no Caggiula's, Boesers, Kristo's or even Luke Johnsons on this team.  Have to wonder what is going on with the coaching staff with this continuing into the 2nd year of putrid offensive punch.  Wolanin was our best hope last year and séems like our D-corps have a better chance of scoring than our forwards.  A number of these forwards were NHL draft picks, why can't any of them score consistently?

Hey, I hear you and agree with you.  Frustrating to say the least.  I seriously doubt we make the NCAA tourney but if we do/can, I'm just saying this is about the only way we can make it.  Odds though are admittedly against it (winning NCHC tourney).  I give Berry next season to put up or get out.

Did we miss the trading deadline?

I saw DU grabbed a solid (but not great) senior grad transfer player for this season from out east.  I sure hope to hell Mr. Berry is looking at that avenue as a potential source to elevate this team next season.  Could be a nice addition, sort of like getting Mr. Jones last season (although he was not a grad transfer so sat out a season I believe).

We're pretty much on standings watch at this point, which made losing that extra point so demoralizing tonight. This season is really starting me to not believe in percentages, or things will eventually even out, but one thing UND will have going for them in the Quarters is the team they are playing will most likely already be firmly in the NCAAs. I still like this team on the road in round one, especially against a team they are better than (Denver). Then it's down to two games, where again, they are playing for their NCAA lives. Of course last year they were and lost, when every other team that needed to win their conference tourney did.

AJS, I think we're on the same thought process for most part.  Big point of mine is the teams they would play will already have made the NCAA tourney (as you note) regardless of NCHC post-season conf tourney result.  Don't know for sure though if I "like this team on the road in round one" to win 2 of 3 at Denver though (or even W Mich) with our away struggles despite all other circumstances though.  But, there's a chance...

Berry: "Disappointing after the effort." "Had chances" "UND won 2 periods. 3rd was 50/50." "Got momentum off the 5x3 despite them scoring at the end of it."

    Hennessy: "two pipes. goal disallowed."

Berry: "I thought it was a good goal."

Berry: "Guys played their hardest and best. Gotta get rested up and get ready for Western."

Odds are WMU sweeps us BUT in close/tight games with little scoring.  Man, I'm brilliant!

Agreed.  How are they 6th in the pairwise?  If UND had anything that resembled a goal scorer Denver could have been swept at home.

Agree, got me.  Had we had a decent goal scorer me thinks we sweep Denver 4 games on the season.

Never been less impressed by a Denver hockey team yet we are going to finish behind them in the standings.  Of course I haven’t  seen a less impressive UND team in a long time.

Denver is a nice team but nothing special (like us).  What's really odd, with how tough/close we've played good teams this season (as frustrated as I've been with our shortage of goals this season I do see improved offensive play lately from the boys), is that I think we have a better chance of WINNING (neutral ice, large contingent of Sioux fans, 1 game only vs ea opponent, opponent likely already qlfd for NCAA tourney regardless, etc.) in St Paul at Frozen Face-off IF we can make it there vs winning 2 out of 3 in 1st round at either Denver or W Mich.  We just gotta make it to St Paul, that's most likely the tuff part as I think conf tourney home ice is out the window.  If we don't win NCHC post-season conf tourney though no way in hell (stating the obvious I guess ) we make NCAA tourney.

Yoy, yoy, yoy, how Gardner does not put that away in the last few seconds.  Story of the season.  Offensively challenged.
