Called Bryce Lawrence (deleted) Director of operations and tickets, and this guy was a real treat! I asked him why they wouldn't tell the general public that tix are gon so don't waste your time rather than piss everyone off? his response THERE WERE A COUPLE OF TICKETS LEFT. next question, why did you guys bid for this regional when you cant even handle the crowd of the fargo force? his response:I THINK THIS WILL BE A GREAT OPPERTUNITY FOR THE OTHER REGIONS TO BE ABLE TO TO VISIT FARGO. Oh so all the tickets went to the other regions instead of giving N.D. fans an opportunity? NO OTHER REGIONS WERE ONLY GIVIN 1000 TIX AND N.D. WAS GIVIN 5000. oh ok well you just kinda pissed down your own leg but what did I expect? I think they should play all BISON playoff games in Grand Forks.
I hope that rant let you blow off some steem. Bryce is actually a personal friend of mine, and a good guy, who's hands were tied in this. The school dictated some numbers for students and champion's club and the ncaa some numbers for other schools. The arena bid it to get something near UND when the ncaa supposedly wasn't allowing on campus sites. And, no, I didn't get tickets either.

The Ice Bar and Cold Stone are the SRO at ice level. The ice bar has an elevated area to the back of it that is a pretty good view. The cold stone end has the Zamboni door and is actually split in 2 sections. There used to be risers/bleachers in these areas (at least one of them?), but they were taken out a couple years ago. I don't know if they'll return for the regional. As for the size, it would more than hold the crowds that showed up in Grand Rapids or Cincinnati, just not the Sioux contingent when travel is easy...

I kept refreshing and trying again and again, and finally got 1 SRO. 1 does me no good, so I cancelled the transaction. I was on at 11:00:01 getting the none available message until that single popped just before the "not on sale" message started going up.

Chyzyk has stepped up big time. If St. Clair sits again and it's a healthy scratch I'm placing a call to the GOBC to contact Hak on my behalf. Really not sure if Murphy needs to see the ice again for awhile. Olson will be one of the top 4 forwards on this team come February.
Defensively how does Keaton get time? For who?
Definitely agree on Chyzyk, but he's already an every game player (should be anyway), I'm looking for Murphy, or Sanderson, or even Panzarella to step up and stand out.

We're right next to the rink - everything is expensive there, so we went for major convenience. I hear the same about transit and am not getting a car. Our hotel would be $56 a day parking, on top of the car cost. That'll pay for a lot of cabs/buses/trains/whatever (pedal-pubs?)

Someone has to try to fill Mac's role, and I agree this would be a good game for that person to step forward. I didn't see anyone jumping up yelling "Pick me! Pick me!" Saturday.
Side, but somewhat related, note; I still don't understand St.Claire sitting Saturday. Any injury news I've missed? I talked to his mom briefly after the game, but didn't want to ask.

Have hotel and airfare booked. Still need to buy tickets, but I'm not too worried about getting them, only that I'll end up sitting between BC and BU fans...

Different game tonight. Gotta stay out of the box.
3-2 Sioux in a grinder-type game.
-
Sioux win 4-1. The General gets on the score sheet, even if it takes until the empty netter with 2 min left that seals the game.

It's on Veterans' Blvd, across from Costco in a strip mall.

" Fargo recently said good-bye to its last Quiznos sandwich shop."
Due to lack of workers. Hard to imagine Fargo doesn't have a Quiznos anymore. I know one closed down in GF but at least one remains open. Might have been part of the reason one of the gf ones closed down.
Quizno's is gone, but Pot Belly and Firehouse are open.
IMHO Pot Belly and Quiznos are 75% the same, so I don't really care that one replaced the other. You can start your favoritism arguments between the two now, but it won't make a difference to me which chain is in place. I imagine it's only a matter of time until Pot Belly hits GGF, if it's not there already.

Sweep! Sweep! Sweep! Sweep! Sweep!
I hope... Sioux win 4-2

Killing me not to be watching tonight, and Twitter keeps crapping out, so I'm depending on SS to keep me informed. Where are we at in this one???

Nailbiter tonight. 2-1 Sioux win

OK, I'm cooled down (a bit) after that debacle on Friday night but the only reason is that they actually showed up and played, for most of a game, on Saturday.
Maybe, just maybe, Friday was the wake-up call they needed before they ended up 4-7-1 and having to play every game like it was game 7.
I'm interested in seeing which team goes to CC: Friday's or Saturday's.
This. Friday was an embarrassment, but I'm not going to let myself stay all worked up over it until I see if it was a fluke or an indicator. Anyone can have a bad game. A team with a problem will have them consistently.

Something feels different about this year already. I am not going to jinx anything but just say’in , this year has an inward buzz about it already like we are teetering on the brink of something special….either that or it’s my acid reflux
Remember the "One Goal" poster from a couple years back? Frattin and Malone group? It's early, but I sense a similar energy in the fan base. Hopefully there will be similar success for the team!*
*but with 2 more wins

10.5 hours... I hope this day goes fast!
5-1 Sioux. Mark, Drake, Schmaltz, Drake (2nd), Luke.

Seriously, that's how much beer cost this year?
Yep, for a 24 oz glass. I'm not really going to complain, since half the bars would charge $3.75 or $4.00 a bottle, so this is on par.

Red Pepper at the REA is nice if you are okay with missing several minutes of the next period. Judging by the exhibition game, they have some major work to do to increase the efficiency.
It didn't help that the 306 one was closed for the exhibition. Some of us (peasants?) who sit up high had to go downstairs to get tacos...
Beer lines are going to be shorter. $8 a beer is getting a little much. I might have to cap it at 2.
Come on, it was only $7.50 for Sam Adams
and I'm going to pretend that makes a difference

I'm right there with you both - as stated above, I didn't get tickets myself and am less than enthused - esp if the story about the arena box office opening early is accurate!
The Fargo vs. GF thing has been beat to death in thread after thread on this board. I agree with your sentiment about wishing it were at the Ralph and all, but it's when you made it about an individual that I took exception. If the math is correct, that there are 2,000 more tickets (500 each for the 4 schools that qualify), so once the Sioux secure their spot 500 more tickets will open up. Depending on who else is sent to the West, there could be another 1,000 or more. Unfortunately, we're now stuck having to be patient until the field is set.
