Hey Schmitty, think everyone is a little head shy to give you any info??? Dryland training started two weeks after the regular season ended. Most players stayed in GF all summer, working, or working the camp, but they worked out everyday, normally as a group with their trainer. A lot of the player have gone home this week, before the school starts. Iron man begins when school starts.

You all say you are "FANS" of the Fighting Sioux, yet you are the very first ones to offer negative information, true, false or just a little misleading. Most of you have NO idea what these players go thru on a daily basis. School, practice, weights, homework, and personal lives.....then the people who they think are their friends and fans turn on them and post negative rumors about them. Please stop and think before you post.....don't post just because you heard something and you want to be the "first one" to get the rumors out there. These kids are representing the University, the State of North Dakota, and the sport of Hockey, and just trying to make a career for themselves. Give them a break _/-\_

You know I have watched hockey in Bismarck for a lot of years and that name has never crossed any roster I have seen. Better check your sources.

He will be married in August. I did know about his attitude around kids (people in general). Just wondering if anyone else felt that way. Sometimes that is what people hid behind when something else is lacking.

MASSEN, MASSEN, MASSEN!!! I think he will have a break out year. He had a great first half last year, so this year should be a great year all year for him. All signs point to a great year for the Sioux. Let's hope our goalie situation is finally settled. I have heard 3 different goalies were cut. Hope the real goalie will stand up soon !!!!!!!

I am going to a be playing college hockey this fall. I went to a junior college and took 13 credits the second semester. Why can't you believe this!!!!??!!!!!

I can't answer all your questions, but I can correct you on one... Laynes birthday is April 8, 1983, not January. He will have to go to school, like he should have been doing last year, to stay eligible for college hockey. Also I believe you can play past your birthday if you are enrolled full time in college. You just can't start the season and already be 21. Please correct me if I am wrong. I believe there will definately be a couple of goalies cut this fall. Not sure who, just depends who works hard in the off season.

Saw there was a poll on USCHO.com about most improved player and our James Massen is leading the poll. Congrats to Massen. He really has stepped up his game. He can only get stonger.

After hearing Coach Blais mention in the pre game, that he really wanted his third and fourth lines to start producing over the weekend, I bet he is dissappointed. Out of 36 possible points scored, lines 1 and 2 got 24!!!! The D-men got 9 and line 3 got 3. NOTHING form the fourth line and they had extra ice time to boot. Some thing needs to change. I for one sure hope they can start putting the puck in the net. I know they are out there grinding but a little offensive help would be appreciated.

We heard Big Eddie spewing all over the airwaves while driving to the hockey game. We could not believe the tone of his voice. He was not joking. He was very angry and his comment about now supporting the Gophers and not the Sioux was ugly. "I've swictched sides before, I can do it again" attitude was unbelievable. I e-mailed him to play the tape and have not heard back from him. Don't really expect to. Now if you call in they screen the calls and ask what you want to talk about. Guess we could lie, but he would just hang up on us.

I have been listening to Big Eddie this morning and now he has made lite of the issue. Said he was only joking. If anyone heard the broadcast, you would know he was having a fit and raging out of control. I think we should push him to play the last 10-15 minutes of that program. He is always stating, we tape every program, just so we can verify what was said. Hey big Ed play it for us!!!! E-mail him and let him know what you think. Talked to Brian and it looks like it is a 1st degree tear of the MCL. Should be out around 4 weeks. So very, very sad for Brian and his family.

And all with no fanfair or press!!! We need more players like Massen. Also tied for least penalties. Big time players have big time goals in big time situations. I believe Massen fits the bill!! Lets do some damage on those gophers this weekend.

I have really enjoyed seeing "Mase" improve. He is a big time player making big time goals, in big time situations. His OT goal in SCSU was unreal...patience. The wrap around on Sat. was awesome, also the goal to tie us on Friday was a thing of beauty. Lets do it again this weekend!!!!
