Or midco could keep the same viewing options as last year and we would not have this thread. Calling a provider does no good unless money is involved from cable company to cable company. This is why cable companies are trying to ban dishes so their monopolies will rule. But I do agree with the wait and see attitude.

I agree with Sprig on this one. This year I cannot watch in SD, my sister in WI, my Mom in CO and best friend in Texas. Right now my Dad in Lakota can't watch. So how does this Midco footprint help us THIS year? Fargo fans may be out also. But some how more people can watch? I hate to say it but Bison football will reach more homes. Until Midco allows people to receive like we did in the past they will LOSE more viewers this year than they gain? If I lived in the Midco footprint I frankly wouldn't care if others don't get the feed. But for those of us who will not receive Sioux sports on TV don't preach to us about it being a good thing? Remember when advertising was the way TV was paid? I guess it's not enough this year.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't UND Insider or whatever Require Flash? There goes my IPad and iPhone if it does.

Huge step backwards in my opinion. UND going DI used to be exciting now it has a DII feel about it. Just another regional school among many.

Even the Little Sister to the South has every game on statewide tv. Hopefully we will have the same options as last year for those of us outside the Midco area. For those in Fargo the head honcho at CableOne has a full sized Buffalo in front of his house. And I also believe he is a Teammaker. Can you imagine the pressure he gets to keep UND Athletics out of Fargo??

Let's just hope that things will work out. I'm afraid that will not happen though. First the nickname, then the University cover up, and now a new statewide tv deal that leaves ALOT of viewers across the country in the dark. I hope Jason can provide good news. Full time DI program with a DII tv deal. I can get five USF football games and three USD games on TV though plus all the UAA Seawolves home hockey games this year.

I live 6 miles out of the Midco footprint here in Sioux Falls and have no options of changing cable companies. I have talked with my cable company asking them to pick up Midco Sports and were told very nicely no. I do agree with gfhockey. With out my satellite I have no options other than a webcast that has been so poor in the past that I will need a money back guarantee before I spend any money.

Jason I think what most of us want to hear is "same viewing options as last year."

Last year I was able to get some Midco ITC. The Summit League basketball tourney from Sioux Falls was ITC last year. Root Sports was also ITC last year but I haven't tried to find it this year. Fall is the best time with all the college football games on FTA. Hopefully we will find out soon?

If I could get Midco I would be a customer the day the announcement was made. So I'm hoping also Bincitysioux and Sprig!

Without Pat Sweeney The Fighting Sioux Sports Network may have never been created. I for one say thank you Pat for everything you did to get the Sioux on TV!

Sprig all the CBS games were on 85 west last year and all in HD. I also live out of the Midco footprint 10 miles out of Sioux Falls so I will be out of luck if things change. If the FTA option is there for a price I would pay it. No question about it. I think we should sit back and let it play this year and maybe this time next year start jumping off a cliff! But as for this fall now that you have HD Sprig the Big Sky awaits for a lot of football.

If it is just a sports nickname why change it? The NCAA and the PC Do Gooders brought this fight not us who want to keep it. It seems it is more than just a nickname to those who want it changed.

No need to take this decision away from the University? This is exactly why it needs to be! The University belongs to the State of North Dakota not the outsiders that have infested our great institution. My father is 83 and a life long Sioux fan and he said it best "University of North Dakota in name only." Why is it so bad for the people who pay the bills at UND to finally have some say in where their tax dollars are going? I know most of you will say have fun playing Mayville and etc. but this issue is deeper and it is a fight worth fighting. Mike Mcfeely had an article a few years back making fun of us UND Alumni and Letterwinners by saying we need to get over it because it is just a nickname. I wrote to him and said he had solved the problem but never heard back because I asked him if it was just a nickname why change it?
