Tommy with a scramble run! For 7 yards untouched and a crappy slide!

Was that even a slide? Like a little kid deciding to dive forward, but trying to hold back at the last moment and falling over

All year we wondered about the OL.

    So far, not good.

1st drive there was some push. Not as much since. One of our run plays where there was a loss or zero gain there was a good push from all OL except one who got stood up and DL threw him into the rb

SDSU keeping it close against Iowa 0-3. Defensive battle where neither team is moving the ball

SDSU also has had 3 injuries so far that we have seen on TV. Kraft, a OL, and a LB

The biggest advantage is exposure.  UND is in the Twin Cities market with their front porch sports products.  I believe that Midco is going to target St. Thomas next and when they do.  It will make MidcoSN a very relevant product in the MSP marketplace.  In the news release, they also noted that several other cable providers were in play.  It will be interesting to see who they are.  Again, as Midco expands throughout the region UND benefits.

Comcast has a 49% stake in Midco, so not sure what their competition clause may be, but I always found it curious that Comcast didn't include the MidcoSN before.

  5. If I could take a guess on BEK is that they will pick up the non-Midco broadcasts of Basketball and Volleyball potentially, since these are sporadic on FSN, and Midco does not cover alot of these games. I cannot see UND Hockey being made available to them for OTA when Midco put up larger bid to try to drive viewers to their service, and NCHC.TV being available for those not on Midco services. Football may have some potential for the fact that it is already available on ESPN+ which while a subscription service still very cheap and if someone wants to see UND Football who doesn't have Midco they will have options for ESPN before switching to Midco unless they want Hockey as well.

I recall the same. Since that early rendering they've done major work on the soccer pitch in front of REA. I think the still prefer natural surface like at REA.

I think softball on University makes sense. The grandstand could double as a nice "gateway" to the campus from the east.

They leveled it if I remember right because it was terribly unleveled and dangerous with holes. When I was going to school up there they had more games on turf at EGF HS then they did at the Ralph either due to ground conditions or just because it was a better field.

Like geaux says, it's in the plan. Look in background of this rendering. There's a field there. And the way the stands are set it makes a nice entry view to campus coming in from the east on University.

If I remember a early rendering had a soccer field over there. Which also seems wierd as you would think the new field at the HPC/Memorial site could host soccer as well as FB practice.

I believe Tim is actually employed by UND for the radio call....but I could be wrong

Previously I think he had a deal with Learfield for the call, but prior to Learfield coming in I think he may have just been a IHeart employee. I know he had a morning show on the Fan so did more than just games.

im actually disapointed with the decision to stay with Iheart...just dont like the organization, as a whole.

I guess outside of UND Sports I haven't listened to IHeart Stations much, but did listen more to Leighton and know they have alot of local talent and seemed to be more active in having events and little pop ups at town events than IHeart did. They also would've needed to get new talent over such as Tim Hennesey to cover, which is probably where their experience and production got ranked lower. Cunningham does okay for high school but IHeart has done well with UND Sport productions, just wish there were more coverage outside of games and Tim's morning show.

All I can say is I sure hope the ice is better than what I just watched in Loveland. It's embarrassing every year watching the most important games on absolutely horrible ice!

NCAA needs to quit worrying about logos on the ice to fix this problem. Most of the time the ice is only set up a few days to maybe a week with the NCAA logos and does not set up well. I'm not sure how the rink in Loveland ice typically is but I do know it caused some of the problems in Fargo.
